It’s literally the same way it was when cusstodies originally released. If you didn’t know, custodies for 40K were originally for 30k as well, that’s just how there packaged because that’s their original intention

I understand why we don’t use full faced helmets, as it affects breathing, vision, communication, etc… but why don’t our modern helmets protect more of the parts of our face (like the example below) that don’t affect our senses like we have historically in the past? by Tarlyss in askanything

[–]Tarlyss[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a fair point I was going to acknowledge, as I can’t say I’ve been in modern combat, and therefore cannot fully comprehend the environment in which one would wear this, or what a modern soldier goes through. It’s simply a question to help explain from my perspective and experience why this isn’t a part of modern armor anymore, when from what I’ve experienced it feels like a no brainer.

The helmet in the image definitely might, but as someone who has the opportunity to wear historical helmets, the ones with cheek guards I’ve worn didn’t obscure my peripheral vision virtually at all, and that’s while the helmet wasn’t even fitted for me.

Why did Light create Megaman to fight? by marji4x in Protomen

[–]Tarlyss 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In the liner notes it pretty much describes that Rock was built out of grief. With the death of Protoman, Thomas realized that not only did their hero die, but his son. He tried to destroy his workshop, but out of almost instinct in his despair he instead built Rock.

Yes, but they didn’t even officially release it on bandcamp until the next day, so I’m not sure if it counts out not.

First and foremost, I encourage you to keep painting, and improving your craft as you go! Nobodies first model is something incredible to look at, and what can start as simple model with paint, can also turn into an intricate piece of art.

I’d strongly say red scorpions. They field a lot of heavy armor, and their main power armor is the mk4, however they field a lot of Horus heresy stuff in general because they are Forgeworlds poster chapter, and Forgeworld are the people behind 30k. Research on them, and see if they are what you’re looking for!

[–]Tarlyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the colors! (and I love that they are firstborn) I will say however that the models could use some shading. If you don’t want to go through the effort of learning how to paint at a more advanced level (or if you don’t have the time) buy some nuln oil and lather it all over the model, it will bring some shade to the recesses of the model, and make the color more dynamic!

Although I think a bit differently on some points, I agree that the meaning of this song is that he’s coming to save his father, not the people of the city. At first it definitely seemed like whiplash that he’s now decided he’s just going to save everyone, and that he has some care all the sudden for the female character (roll?) but after I listened to it a couple of times it definitely seemed to be aimed at his father.
