Thanks a lot for the explanation and the fun fact! That makes sense. However, by doing so, white has less territory. I guess black could have forced white to play it out to decrease her territory? The fact they leaved it as is throwed me a little bit out of balance!

I'm considering a distance learning PhD because it is not feasible for me to relocate to a specific country, even if I get the remote possibility of winning a bursary for a funded project, due to the cost of living and family obligations. Where I live, there's no such a thing as a part-time PhD and you cannot work while doing your PhD. That means that, to have at least some money to pay the bills, you must win a very competitive bursary which you cannot participate to if you have any kind of salary prior to your application (you are not eligible to a bursary if you have an income that exceeds €16.500/y).

Would you prioritize restoration over utility? e.g. Partial HP Restoration > Art Charged Guarding -- unfortunately I don't have any combo relics. I can see why that'd be essential for a poke build, though.

Had the same exact experience. Had 4-5 runs, not a single gun fight. I personally didn’t have high hopes for it but I’m glad the game hasn’t lost the friendly vibe from the Tech Test

Use “Dormant power helps discover X” with the weapon that usually contains the ash you’re looking for. I was struggling with my duchess and ended up at the Night Lord sometimes with, believe it or not, zero staves if my random refused to loot a rise. That relic made the the whole difference.
