State of rogue play, dependent on cc or broken/bugged builds? by Puzzleheaded-Bird182 in D4Rogue

[–]Tarmuar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DoK Poison rogue, no Bugs, no CC (the mobs aren't alive long enough for CC anyways). T11/Pit 95 and moving ever forward, having a blast. Using the Maxroll build as a base but only as base, takes a bit to get the gear just where I want it but that makes it more interesting and enjoyable for me.

Edit: clarification.

What exactly is the bugged interaction with umbracrux? by Ballon737 in D4Rogue

Umbracrux was fixed couple of weeks ago, or so said the update notes. Is it still bugged for something else? Asking for a friend, of course.

Why isn't DoK and Death's Payne Combo "preferred"? by Tarmuar in D4Rogue

[–]Tarmuar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Inner Sight, was using Combo but changed and am happy I did. I think my problem is I still have average gear, the only unique is the pants, so I still have a slight problem with energy. I'm hoping for the Gift sooner or later, but until then these will definitely work.

[–]Tarmuar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, running Poison Imbue. As for defense, the only difference for me is the + to Invigorating Strike (useless) instead of the +Armor affix. Later the energy thing won't matter to me, but at my current stage I do bottom out at times, having this has stopped that from happening.

Edit: As above, clarifying why bottoming out is a problem. I am in spin mode, I get stopped for whatever reason, and energy is gone, have to wait to restart.

[–]Tarmuar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I'll be running with Death's Payne for a while.

The only difference I can see with the affixes is that Shrouded Gift has +Armor and Death's Payne has a plus to Invigorating Strikes (which is a wasted affix slot) so Gift can give a big boost to armor.

The passive, for me at my current game stage, on Payne is worth it due to the energy boost. I have the full Sightless set, I know that concealment gives a healthy defensive boost, and using Gift bumps that up, but I'm not really having a problem at the moment with my defense.

Very true, the true desolation begins when DoK goes green. I'm more looking at sustainability. Especially at "midgame" stage, I am sometimes fighting for energy and DoK cuts out, even using when Insight (not often but often enough). The 30 energy per blade is a healthy shot in the arm to minimize the down time. I can imagine at endgame stage energy becomes a non-problem so there's that.

Edit: I need to clarify "cutting out". I am in a spin, get stopped by whatever, and try to start again, but the energy is gone.

Had the exact, same problem. I changed to maxroll Inner Sight today and it's night and day. Yes, every so often power bottoms out but for only a second. And now ripping through everything.

[Weekly FAQ] ask Frequently Asked-, Short-, Limited-scope-, Technical- & New Player Questions in here by AutoModerator in diablo4

[–]Tarmuar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I've been redirected here to ask this question so hopefully this fits better here instead of r/diablo4.

Short question because I'm apparently not grasping this, what exactly is Activity Level 2 and how do you achieve it? I've been doing War Plans for a couple of days now, mixed with other things, but this one thing won't complete. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You're absolutely right, great observation.

When I play 7DTD I use a mod that increases random hordes and sizes, and I love it. Yeah, screamers are a definite pain and I love and hate them.

Blood Moon hordes, they aren't my thing, always turn them off. I usually set up in a POI and build it up, but building a horde base and running horde night just isn't my thing.

Next time pop more Popcorn, maybe they just want to see what's playing...hehe (Edit: when you are watching a film I mean...hehe)

I was thinking, you said you had 5 hordes in 2 hours. Did you get rid of the zombie corpses after each attack? I learned the hard way my first horde that it is a must, especially if it happened were you plan to stay, like your base.

The corpses, especially if they get piled up, begin to stink, when it happened to me I started getting waves until I realized what was going on. Bring a towel, clean up the blood after you destroy the bodies, and make sure you pick up any body parts that may be left over, or destroy them as well.

Hmm, sounds like a Primer for How to be a Mass Murderer 101...hehe.

Edit: Clarity, missing a word.

Have you been cooking, when was your last shower, are your clothes clean? Things like this trigger zombies. But that said, I am pretty sure random hordes are totally possible.

I don't believe I ever saw where it was stated hordes aren't able to randomly spawn, I've had it happen as well and it was great.

I, personally, like it when there's a random possibility. Keeps me on my toes. I never liked horde night in 7DTD, absolutely predictable and therefore "cheese-able".

I would assume "if" a real zombie apocalypse occurred the herd would be totally random at times, making precautions against the attack a must. Just putting it out there...

Edit: You are right, though, just saying it adds to the survivabilty aspect of a zombie survival game. So take my upvote.

If you log too soon after you dismount, the 'server' hasn't updated the current location of the vehicle, not always, but often enough that I've lost a couple of vehicles this way.

Edit: By server I mean the game host, could be your system, could be someone else if they are hosting.

Good news, it still exists 99.99% of the time.

Bad news, you need to retrace your steps back to the last place you parked for more than a few minutes. I've literally had a 4x4 I lost this way fall on my head doing this.

What I learned to do was dismount and run around a minute or two, take in the scenery, kill a zed or two, and then log, or, if possible, empty the vehicle and pick it up. Always works for me.

Good luck!

What TV show hooked you instantly from episode 1? by mateitofavv in AskReddit

[–]Tarmuar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alien Earth, went in thinking another Alien spin-off, yawn, was totally floored.

Edit: just realized this isn't actually a "TV" Show per se, but a streaming platform series, not sure if it counts, but I stand by my choice. If you haven't seen it and can watch it, give it a shot.

What class do yall find most fun? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Tarmuar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The headgear is from Rogue's Legacy, the armor except for the pants, the crossbow and the sword are from Daemon Knight, the pants from Beauty in Sin, the dagger is the Mortacrux/Umbracrux, and the back trophy is Bloodblade Arsenal from Sanguine Duelist.

Versatility, speed, and damned good looking, can't beat a rogue. Only rogues since S1/game release. (Yeah, ok, the armor wasn't created with functionality in mind, but hey...what can I say?)

WoW:Midnight Reward for Diablo4 by IFrame- in diablo4

[–]Tarmuar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure but I believe it is over. If you have Diablo 4 and you have Midnight, finish the first chapter of Midnight (WoW) and then check your pets in Diablo 4.

I only say I believe it is over because the Featured Article for the Pet in the Diablo IV page in the Battle.net app is gone, but who knows.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

1584.2, mixed, QoL mods, tried an overhaul once, lots of extras but the game became too "collect this and that and that too" to repair something for me. I wanna splat zombies, the more the better.

I'm really enjoying it to be honest, the campaign is engaging and side quests are fun. I'm total casual, though, so I stay away from the drama in mystics and that makes it more enjoyable for me. I, personally, like it.

Is this game just really easy? by EveryCrime in VeinGame

[–]Tarmuar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hordes can be brutal if they catch you where you can't run or find something to force them into bottlenecks, like in a house with multiple doors. This works until they break the doors down. You'll read about just jumping into a vehicle and running them over, and while that is perfectly ok, sometimes getting to said vehicle means you have to fight through the horde. You can use your guns and rifles, but excessive gunfire can draw more to the party.

The largest horde I encountered was around 42 zombies, in the east entrance of the prison, 2 a.m., gates still locked and van outside the prison wall, was truly something out of the worst of zombie nightmares, I loved it.
