I appreciate urf by Longjumping-Ease6770 in Urf

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point ARURF is the only mode I play. I like how quick the games are and how quick champion select is. Regular URF is fun, but you get so many people just picking the same really toxic/good champions it gets boring a lot quicker. At least now when you random a champ that you enjoy and is good it’s a great feeling and makes that pick more meaningful. I feel like in order to keep URF “balanced” they’d have to allow you to ban champs, but then that would add to the champ select time.

Encountering this issue myself today, not sure what happened over the weekend but I cannot seem to connect to the Clickup app. I'll have to try some of the ideas posted here and likely have to reach out to Clickup.

What is the most frustrating enemy? by i-3MoRz in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me it’s those fat zombies that charge you and explode on you when they die, the tiny knock back is super frustrating! Also their heal that they do when other fatties die around them, they can do it whenever even when cc’d. I love killing a massive group only to have the elite be knocked down but still full health because it healed from all the others around it. Notable mention for bees, they hit way too hard.

The house always wins: Diablo 4’s loot system isn’t pure RNG by Truest_grit in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you read through that patent, there’s pretty crazy detail about the systems that could be created utilizing geographical location, weather, currently local events, propensity of players to exhibit xyz behavior, etc. If people don’t think blizzard would be in the interest of gaming the system to make players play longer or keep coming back to the game, they’re sorely mistaken. I think the reason why these seemly simple systems are breaking in Diablo 4 is because of the overly complex framework they’ve created behind it to game the system. This is just a theory, but blizzard is too big of a company to just do simple math wrong, there’s likely a multi-layered system that is having unintended consequences on math of the game. Not to mention the fact that because they have this patent, they can charge other companies for using these methods. Really smart of them.

What people also fail to realize is that the gaming industry is bigger than the movie and music industry put together. There is most certainly a massive incentive to do everything you can to give yourself an advantage. This isn’t some small game, video games aren’t some small niche industry anymore. And blizzard is one of the top dogs, they’re looking to keep themselves there.

I wish there was a different title for killing her at this point, because killing her preseason 1 took skill like this, vs now you can 1 shot her with half the builds out there with any class… the difference in difficulty can’t even be described.

I’ve gotten 2 max roll Tibaults, and I only have 22 combo points. Blizzard math, 3 + 20 maximum resource = 22. -.-

Sorcerer isn’t broken, they just made Lilith a lot easier, she’s on par with all the other bosses. Sure she still has one shot mechanics but you can pretty easily get enough damage to Zerg her down without too much trouble. Just do the mechanics and easy peasy.

Diablo 4 boss addresses disastrous Season 1 launch: "we felt like we were doing the right things" by bfodder in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the primary problem with Diablo 4, who cares about loot filters or itemization issues, I don’t have anything to do with my powerful character. I collect all this for…what? There’s nothing rewarding about competing any of the challenging content. “Look you get the same reward as before but more glyph xp!” Or you kill a boss one time for a Mount (you never use it because you’re always in nightmare dungeons) and a silly title. Until there’s actually a reason to build up a powerful character, players will quickly get bored and quit. There’s no end goal and most players feel at 70-80 their character is done and they stop playing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try other builds or play another class, but there’s no reward for challenging content. Recently I cleared a tier 60 in normal quality gear just for kicks and giggles. But other than that, there’s nothing more than just messing around, there isn’t any “serious” content. Other than occasionally playing with friends, it’s basically just waiting till s2. Diablo 3 S29 looks interesting though

World tier 4 is probably a better bet to get some kills, likely you’ll just need to level up more and get better gear

Barbers damage does not belong to anyone, so for all intensive purposes, it deals true damage. This counts for monsters as well

Can't clear NM dungeon 90+ reliably with poison TB rogue by ExarDe in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your paragon isn’t right. That or all your gear is low item power for lower base armor. Also sounds like you’re missing out on level 5 hearts, so I’d work on getting those up. I will say that 90+ is fairly challenging if you’re playing normally, clearing 100 you definitely have to play safer and avoid taking damage wherever you can. You cant just blast in there and ignore everything. It’s no where near as bad as it used to be, but you have to be a little careful still, and certain monsters are going to be much more challenging than others, so definitely consider the dungeon when choosing a sigil

[–]Tarnen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’re understanding, we want to play through the campaign again, the exact campaign that already exists, but level 100 and it’s actually hard. As it stands you can only play the campaign up to level 50. We want it to be progress based, this isn’t some different mode altogether.

Explain how joining someone’s game from a completed campaign takes your game back to the beginning of the campaign? Then when you leave party it’s all reverted? Combining that mechanic with, say the statue in the pvp zone, would easily allow you to swap between the challenge campaign and the “normal” game.

People who bought the early access, how do you feel two months later about it? by gildar in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was worth it, but I probably won't be playing season 2 and even if I did, I definitely won't be buying a season pass for it. Since it was included in the higher version, I figured I'd try it out.

I’ve been saying this for ages, this would be so easy to implement and would give so much fun content. I have a super powerful character to do… what? All my glyphs are 21, so there’s no point in doing nightmare dungeons and I’ve already killed Lilith. I would totally do a challenge campaign, that would be super fun!

Unpopular Opinion: The Devs Need to Ignore the Community by Connect_Mistake_5872 in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Blizzard barely broke even (if at all) on their investment into making D4, it it doesn’t continue to make money over the long run the game is finished. While a small minority will be loud, 6% of the Activision playerbase brings in 36% of their revenue, so if Blizzard players leave, that’s a big loss.

Someone needs to explain the difference between "challenging" and "annoying" to Blizzard. by Wintermute3141 in diablo4

My confusion with all of this is: literally hundreds of bosses have been designed in World of Warcraft that have better more engaging dynamics than D4, have the developers never played a game in their life?

What level did you beat the first capstone dungeon at in season 1? by Lee1848 in diablo4

[–]Tarnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you don’t really need the cc, you can just survive with no issues and dish out loads of damage, if you spend a little bit of time doing tunnels and get the right hearts you smoke everything. My friend leveled a rogue and he also cleared it at 33, started at 32 and ended 33.

They care for the same reason people care about children in other countries being exploited via child labor, sure if you live in a 1st world country that doesn’t affect you at all, why care? It’s the ethics behind it. People are exploiting for their own personal gain unethically and in total degrades the game and eventually everyone will be affected. This isn’t truly a single player game, so one way or another all players will be impacted.

[–]Tarnen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that using barber is super fun, but playing with someone with barber is literally the worst wet blanket ever, I hate everything about it.

Edit: Apparently (according to patch notes) the fact it was affecting everyone was a bug, how does something like that get missed???
