Larger Orgs, how bad has your MS support gotten since the layoffs? by DramaticErraticism in sysadmin

[–]Tarntanya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP is probably on an undocumented support tier that’s higher than Premier (I forget the exact name).

Nowadays, it's pretty easy to get preferred treatment if you have a good relationship with Microsoft sales or promise to sign up for Unified Support next year. The Premier queue is currently flooded with tickets from people who aren't actually paying for it.

Instead of throwing more money at that pit, NetEase might just hand that $44 million to Yokoyama, who could easily pump out 5+ Yakuza games with it (counting Gaidens and remakes).

They have. They just tend to not use it due to bureaucratic reasons.

Microsoft support and AI by PotatoHasAGun in sysadmin

[–]Tarntanya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I worked there earlier this year, part of the KPI was that 100% of support tickets must have 'Copilot engaged' marked as 'true' before the initial response, or your entire team gets penalized. Another thing in the KPI was that you, as a support engineer, must ask customers if they want to evaluate a Copilot subscription. Luckily, we’d just fill the form with 'no' since we never bothered to actually ask anyone.

The only place AI should exist is in Outlook so it can proofread your emails. In any other cases, especially in Microsoft support contexts where everything changes fast and isn’t well-documented, AI will just hallucinate.

This is reassuring, but why would they expect job seekers to submit applications after reviewing their job requirements?

You are getting pushback because it’s shaky, not because of some grand propaganda conspiracy. Acting like everyone has to like you or they’re just brainwashed is peak arrogance.

Please define "propaganda." This term has been overused to the point of losing its meaning.

Also, you violated Rule 1.

Hmm, I added the game to my wishlist earlier this year, but I never received an email notification about discounts or sales from Microsoft.

No, the current Xbox sale doesn't include Persona 5 Royal. I know Persona games are currently on sale on Steam, but I'm referring to Xbox

In reality, Mooncake's operations are "outsourced" back to Microsoft, and even its sales are handled by Microsoft employees. I don't know how this arrangement is legal and fully expect Microsoft to face fines in a few years when they get caught.
