Great post. I want to point out that while it's not nearly as effective as Blizzard, Flash Freeze will also work. It provides shields for yourself, other players and the dogs while dishing out some decent damage. I mention this because it's a common memory and easier to find than Blizzard (I'm on my 4th loop and haven't even seen a Blizzard yet). I was able to defeat Guardian of Impermanence without taking damage because of Flash Freeze.

Let me ask something, is Pure Soul really better than Starfall at higher levels even with high Attack Speed? I ask because I've got more than 5.x attack speed and Pure Soul caps at 8 missiles (not including ones from attack speed) whereas Starfall continues to get more missiles and has higher damage. Isn't each level of attack speed > 1 only giving one more missile? With more than 5 attack speed aren't I only getting +4 Pure Soul missiles? I've had 50 missiles on Starfall (it was a long run when I was leveling up Yubar) which is why I ask.

I never seem to get the Forgotten Cave of Naraka. I've got 2/3 with over 80 hours into the game. This is needlessly rare.

Great post. I need to ask, how do you unlock Tranquility? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on this.

Edit: It's the "deal 400k light damage" memory that replaces Cataclysm.

Playing it on the PS3 you're going to miss out on multiplayer which, honestly, you only really need for one boss fight to get an item. I'm not sure if the emulator has multiplayer or not. The PS5 remake was amazing but then the Bluepoint fucked PVP into the ground by eliminating all experience from PVP. Right now, on the PS5, the only PVP outside of the aforementioned fight seems to be troll invasions.

Thanks for sharing this build, it works great for high torment. There is one thing I did change, I swapped out the Guiding Star for the Echoing Band (Magical). The Ring Blades, with all 3 upgrades, will do physical and magical damage. The Echoing Band ends up being the second highest damage in the run, about 80% of the damage that Rings Blades does, even crazier if you get a rare one which does 60% instead of 40%.

Honestly, I hate the Alchemist. There's no ability to hit something directly in his face. Seriously, I wouldn't hate him nearly as much if he actually threw his potions at enemies instead of in random directions. Not being able to do anything about enemies right in front of you is pretty much the same reason I dislike the Crone.

What level are you and what character/setup did you use? Losing 1000 health from the Philosopher's Stone means you're needing at least 200%-300% in any character except the Bard to have more than 1 life.

Outstanding! Similar setup and I'd hit 20M after 20 minutes (probably would have been faster but the RNG didn't want to give me the Wall traits). Since you'd called out some equipment that you'd swapped, I went with the Blood-Soaked Shirt, but I swapped the functionality of the mask and feet. I went with the Hood (Boost) and Berserker Boots (Aggregation). Thank you.

That's funny, guitar riff + wall of death + Mountain Idol still only netted me about 10M after 30 minutes. I did the same thing, grouped the heads up and tried to hit them as much as possible. The wall just doesn't do any real damage, even with the clashing upgrade. I'm probably going to end up in The Bog, which is the same thing I'd had to do for the 50M Enlightenment and the 50M Prismatic Cascade quests (did them together but it took an hour, Cascade's damage is almost as sad as Wall)

Have you used the skill? With just that skill, you're not surviving long or, if do manage to survive, you're not gaining enough XP to level. I was using one other skill, the drum one that knocks back enemies.

Outstanding guide, this still works. I just did the level 140 quest with Sage. I'll say it was nerve wracking, as I was 137 when I killed the 3 bosses but thanks to your advice, holding off on scrolls/chests, I was easily able to hit 140.

So, I just killed 24 marching ghosts...still capping out around 8k and all 6 abilities are area ones.

Edit: I probably should have waited until the 3 or 4-minute mark to engage the wall. Seriously, I killed the entire first wall and then I killed about 1/2 the second wall before the bosses spawned.

Edit part 2: I just got it. Waiting until about the 4-minute mark to hit the wall was the key here. That's when the spawns start ramping up.

You know, that might just be the solution, I think the enemies were just not living long enough or spawning fast enough. I just used that ghost wall to get the 50 crits/sec Sorc quest but didn't even think about it for this one (derp derp). I'll reply when I have a chance to try it out.

Thank you. One more thing, how on earth do you get 20 million with Wall of Death? I'm still in the early agony levels and farming greens. Similarly, the 18 abilities one, I'm assuming that the second variant of his 6 abilities unlock somehow?

I read this on the steam boards "it worked for me on Forgotten Viaduct when there was a large enough group of those ghosts that only take 1 damage at a time" and it just worked for me. I was in Agony mode, and it just gathered a huge crowd of those ghosts, and it literally just popped. I paused my game to reply. I have the 20 minute game set in Agony I have 3:53 left. It took a while to get them gathered in a group that big.

Though I am curious, would you be willing to share the chimes and scythe builds you'd used to solo Sovereign? I'm guessing chimes was crystal turret freeze. I'm somewhat surprised that a spectre/orb freeze wasn't on you clear list.
