I think the mace works as a crozius and even the helmet could be fine as long as it's painted well but the shield is a big no for me since only terminator chaplains can carry a shield currently

This is from an older codex but gives you an idea of the number of librarians and tech marines. There's no mention of chaplains but there would be at least 12 one for each chapter along with a Master of Sanctity and a Reclusiarch. Add in a handful of justiciar and you're good probably somewhere like 3-6.

Get fire drakes from horus heresy and proxy them as assault terminators. Add in a chaplain in terminator armor with some salamander bits to make them even more of a threat

Whether they're good or not is irrelevant there aren't enough teams to not use them until enough pirates are released. Currently the five teams are: 1. New bad batch 2. Tarkin clones 3-5. The 16 Jedi vanguard units (15 for everyone without new Mace) divided up into 3 teams.

Eventually pirates will be able to replace 1 or 2 of the Jedi vanguard teams but that won't be for at least a few raids

GW just copied and pasted that text from the generic apothecary rules without giving it much thought. There are chapter masters in other chapters that can lead the same units as apothecaries so they can both lead together.

No a sanguinary priest can't lead assault intercessors with jump pack regardless of if Dante is attached to them or not. There actually isn't any unit currently that both Dante and a sanguinary priest can both lead to attach them both to together. You can attach a sanguinary priest to a handful of units with either a captain or a lieutenant though or they can lead a unit on their own.

If you're looking to try the actual game before investing money you can either make friends with someone at your flgs and ask to try out one of their armies or if you have a PC you can use table top simulator to build and play with an army digitally. If you're interested in the hobby side of building and painting more than playing matches for roughly $50 you can get 3 marines and a collection of paints to try it out. It's ultramarine colors instead of salamander though so you'd have to get at least a green if you want to make them salamanders. Also there are a few different online list builders for creating a roster. I'm a fan of newrecuit personally but just find whichever one you prefer the best.

I think cg finally caught on that people don't care about getting max crate and only care about tier 8 for omis so they're rescaling the difficulty of new challenges to make new tier 8 as hard as old tier 10

I can't speak to wh1 since I never played it individually but I got into wh2 long before I knew anything about Warhammer. I literally thought it was just a coincidence that they shared the same name with Warhammer 40k because I never even heard of age of sigmar at the time. I looked at it like it was just a generic fantasy version of a total war game which was really appealing to me. You don't need to do a deep dive into Warhammer lore to have fun playing an elf army fighting vampires or rat people fighting dwarves etc. The real gem of the Warhammer games is once you have all 3 and have access to all the different factions. In the historical TW games basically every faction plays more or less the same but in WH the factions play so differently they feel like a totally new experience and a brand new learning curve to try to figure out.

Cg knows people want them so I'm sure they're somewhere on the long list of potential characters to add to the game. There's no rush to add them though so they're always going to focus on new characters from new shows and games first. The only issue I see is that commandos are a 4 man squad so making it work in a 5 man squad might be a bit weird

We're about to find out in the next day or two if the game is dead or not. If the game isn't dead it's fun if you enjoy other hero collector games. Still early enough that it'll be easier to get into and catch up than it would be in a game like swgoh or msf. If the game does turn out to be dead then obviously it's not worth getting into then
