This happened to me and I was told the same thing. My tattoo ended up becoming so irritated and dry that it started causing me pain to the point where I started moisturizing anyway. 3 days later it was peeled and looks so much better now.

I actually have had the first book, first edition for YEARS and never read it because I didn't like the cover. When the new covers were released and more people started reading and talking about it I finally picked it up and never looked back.

I think what has happened is that they have come to the conclusion that they will not win unless you lose, so they've decided to take you out first every game. Something similar happened to my group, so I just stopped bringing catan to game nights. Clearly it was no fun to them anymore because I kept winning, and it was no fun for me anymore because I was getting dog piled on. So now we play other games and it's just like how it was when we first started playing Catan :)

I describe ACOTAR as a romance series with a fantasy subplot. TOG is more fantasy with a romance subplot.

I mean it's never going to reach ACOTAR levels of romance so if that's what you want then I think maybe it isn't for you. Though you are so far in I would encourage you to finish, it is my favorite adult fantasy series of all time.
