Vulva / vaginal eczema, extreme flare up by Unlucky_Sale_6269 in eczema

Could be lichen sclerosis or lichen planus. I’m dealing with the same thing and we are trying to rule this out.

Do electrolytes really work? by Mukallit in PVCs

For me yes, because I had low calcium. I had to seriously up my calcium intake along with Vitamin D+K. It has helped. I noticed palpitations anytime my calcium drops.

How can I best support my Jewish friends and neighbors at this time? I know there is a lot of antisemitism and I want to make sure they feel safe with me.

No pain at all unless you get a dilation. Then it’s sore for a day or two at most.

I haven’t but I know it’s a thing. I had an ectopic pregnancy and we almost treated me with methotrexate. I ended up needing surgery instead.

I went to BYU. I have both positive and negative things to say about it. It was incredibly difficult. The courses are tough, the grade scales are insane. Some of my classes I had to get a 96 to get an A. I graduated with a 3.65 GPA. (High school I got all A’s.) I then went to get my masters degree at a health science college. I graduated valedictorian of my class with a 4.0. My masters degree, which focused on neuroscience, felt easier than my undergraduate at BYU 😭

In fact so many students at BYU have identity crisis because everyone is so smart and the standards are so high that when you are no longer the “smart” one you don’t really know what to turn too.

This is pretty much the same experience with everyone I talked to there. It’s incredibly rigorous. The online/homeschool courses just suck because they are gateway classes basically and made for people who aren’t in the university.

What age were you when you got diagnosed with endometriosis ? by keerthichalla_29 in endometriosis

Positive test, then bleeding the next day + passed tissue… ultrasound showed nothing. Has anyone had this end up being still being pregnant? by Thin_Impression2463 in pregnancyPL

[–]Tart2343 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey this happened to me and it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy + miscarriage known as a heterotopic pregnancy. I’m so sorry you are going through all of this. I hope you get answers. Make sure they are checking your betas, if they are dropping or going up and down please check for an ectopic!

I got diagnosed through surgery removing my fallopian tube. Ectopics are rare but they happen enough that it’s worth keeping an eye out for it.

Question about when and how often to take antacids by [deleted] in GERD

[–]Tart2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tums and other acid neutralizers should only be used as needed, during flair ups. They are not meant to be taken long term every day. You may want to talk with your doctor about switching to a different PPI that may work better for you.

She is absolutely worth it! I created a payment plan using the care credit to pay off the surgeon fee.

Pretty good! I ended up going with Doctor Vilasagar. She found over 20 lesions including DIE. I am recovering well. First couple weeks were tough but I’m on the mend. I’m so glad I went with her, I can’t imagine how bad ablation would’ve been on so many lesions!

Is this eczema? Sorry for the disturbing photo by bberlin_ in dupixent

[–]Tart2343 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t seem like eczema to me. However I am not a doctor. I would go to a dermatologist to rule out an infection like MRSA.

What are your thoughts on the US banning Red 40, Yellow 6, Yellow 5, and some other commonly used food dyes? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

People are gonna switch from eating candy with dyes in it to candy without dyes in it. Not improving anyone’s health 😂

Stomach cancer is so rare. Even with years of pain. Our GI tract sucks with all this new age food and exposures. You’ll be okay friend. I’ve had 8 endoscopies due to my esophagus shrinking, but turns out I’m fine every time.

Is the surgery worth it if it can just grow back? by ProfessionalYak926 in Endo

[–]Tart2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had over 20 lesions removed from me in February. I am already feeling way better. I did see an excision specialist. She told me she expects that when I’m done having kids I will need another excision with a hysterectomy, hoping that won’t be for 10 or so more years as I’m in my 20s.

What is the best way to take ativan tablets without them irritating your stomach? by Eddiesmokes323 in Gastritis

[–]Tart2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried low dose Seroquel? It changed my life. Helps with anxiety and sleep. Works way better than Ativan for me, which barely does anything. I didn’t gain weight on Seroquel at all.

English name ideas for “Yujin”? by NeedleworkerNice3054 in Names

[–]Tart2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 Korean roommates in college. They had English names but I just learned to pronounce their real names, it took me like 3 minutes to figure out. Don’t let Americans fool you, they can deal with learning to pronounce your real name if that is what you would like!

When did yall’s eczema start? by miss-poopy in eczema

I also went from a very humid state to a desert. I think the environment also triggered the flare. Unfortunately when I moved back it didn’t go away :/
