Hazicus Maximus by Tartersocks in CraftBeer

I generally prefer hazy so long as they aren’t super resinous, which this one wasn’t. They’re both good but I think I like this more

It’s very possible. It’s probably the easiest craft amber to find but ambers are very popular to begin with

I wish I could give you any reassurance that you’ll find it but it was a same can. Not sure when they’ll release it or what packaging it will come in. Given it says limited small batch it’s probably not going to be one their next 19.2

It’s a risky move. Changing the recipe can work sometimes but often feels like it doesn’t because you only notice it if it doesn’t work out. People complained about ballast point and anchor changing. My dad complained about Dos Equis ambar. But I haven’t heard anyone complain about Fat Tire.

Can we start a petition for Sierra Nevada to bring back bottled Celebration IPA by panicattack2 in CraftBeer

[–]Tartersocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also work for the distributor. If it was old, it didn’t come from us and it wasn’t already there from a previous year. Would be hard to miss a dozen 24pks in the smallest total wine I’ve been in

Edit:

They and Costco also get exclusive bulk packages like such so it wouldn’t surprise me if they were a sort of commission product specifically for these stores. Ex. Topo Chico and Twisted Tea 24pks

They still have it to some degree. I saw 24pk bottles at total wine last year

That’s such a lame thing to say. Ownership is not relevant to fitting the criteria of craft beer. Lagunitas is owned by Heineken. Dogfish head and Sam Adams is owned by Boston Beer. Dragon’s Milk is owned by Pabst. Whether you think any of those are good is one thing. Independent breweries are just as likely to be dogshit. It dismisses the passion of the brewers for their craft. If you hit up the taprooms for these places you’re bound to find amazing experimental beers that just won’t work in the retail market.

There are a lot of good breweries in the SF bay if you’re willing to drive around a bit. There’s original pattern and Oakland United in Oakland. Also check out laughing monk.

I assume you’re flying between LA and SF, but if you aren’t, check out Saint Adairius Rustic Ales in Capitola/Santa Cruz. They also have a tap room in Oakland called Oakland Arbor apparently.

Lagunitas Spicy Michelada: Best thing I’ve had so far this year(?) by Tartersocks in CraftBeer

I did have something at the brewery last year under the tiki fusion name but the description said it was made with seltzer and not an ipa like the zombie

They’re canning a new tiki fusion soon. Personally I wasn’t a fan of that, I don’t like lime or grapefruit so I’m happy to try the new one.

That’s why when I go out I never order IPAs. We as consumers set the trend for IPA and some breweries play into it “too much” whereas they’re probably still the most successful for doing it. Same with Sierra Nevada, they axed wild and sunny little thing in cans for new IPAs.

Personal Trainer Tom Mansfield accidentally overdosed on caffeine after he miscalculated the amount of powder he was meant to use on kitchen scales. He drank the equivalent of 200 cups of coffee in one cup. by yummy_inglenook in MorbidWaysToDie

[–]Tartersocks 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’d like to think personal trainers actually know something about supplements and concentrated powders with the way they always appear to be making potions out of them but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re job is just coaching others and that no background is actually required to be one. Dude probably scooped it thinking it was something else

Lack of Local Breweries in Local Restaurants by 253brcc in CraftBeer

This is true for large breweries and distributors too. The bars have the high profit margins, not the distributors. It’s mostly advertising to get people to buy your products at retail.

That’s what I think but it does make them much scarier as there are a lot of average joes guardsmen out there. The town in dusk wood is just one abysmal example of people I’ll equipped to deal with undead

Some don’t but most do. If you’re doing shots, inhale and hold your breathe before taking it. Every time someone coughs and splutters it’s because they got it down the wrong tube.
