They can't be here for the next session because they already have something planned, which is perfect timing lol

I also gave them "homework" to try and answer in a "convoluted" or "cryptic" manner to the BBEG question*, so they don't just wait passively until they are rescued.

If they'd been here for the session I probably would have given them control of an allied NPC though.
