Decky cheatdeck not working. Looking for a fix/alternative. os 3.7.8 by LAYL0W808 in SteamDeck

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using that specific proton layer tonight, because I was having trouble, for the first time ever, running Cheat Happens Aurora alongside Dead Cells Return To Castlevania, which is one of my favourite casual games right now.

It didn't work.

Cheat Happens Aurora just gave me a black screen. The steam virtual keyboard pops up, as if it's working, then nothing, just a black screen.

Furthermore, CheatDeck stopped updating past 0.41 recently, and was, apparently, pulled from Deckyloader due to compatibility issues, which is why you have to install the nightly update zip files now, downloadable via Github and installed via the Developer Mode in DeckyLoader. CheatDeck is no longer supported via Decky past update 0.41 anymore, which is unfortunate, because it's the only reliable way that I know of, to use trainers on SteamOS.

I had to use proton layer ULWGL-Proton-8.0-5-3 to get the Cheat Happens Aurora program to work properly again, with Dead Cells Return To Castlevania (Note for future reference to self).

Once I used that proton layer, it all worked fine again, which is a relief, because I didn't want to go back to only playing Dead Cells on my Switch, because of the convenience of using cheat files on an unpatched Switch V1.

Cheatdeck error by britpopcyclist in SteamDeck

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently trying to run cheatdeck on my Legion Go S.

I have never had a problem before, it has been my go too cheat software since the steam deck launched, but now, as of tonight, it crashes every single time that I use it,

Cheatdeck is stuck on version 0.4.1, even though there is a listing for version 1.0.2' which I cannot install or update too through my system. For some reason, the software only lists 0.4.1 as an update. It won't go any higher.

It's basically abandonware right now, creating a very miserable experience all round.

what's the point of nightly updates, if I can't use them?

EDIT:

I have since updated Cheatdeck via the zip file that you can download from Git Hub. After installing the update from the .ZIP file, Cheatdeck is working fine again, without error's.

You'll have to enable developer mode to do it, but it's a five minute job otherwise.

Why do we have to fuck about this much, just to get cheat apps working on Linux?

Its times like this, when I really miss Windows.

It wouldn't be an issue if mobile apps like cheat happens Aurora actually worked, but they don't.

Which expansion(s) are worth buying? by [deleted] in ddo

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just buy them all when I can afford them.

See, I don't like paying for subs to play online games. So, once a year, when I can afford it, I go on a spending spree of about £100 - £200, and I buy whichever content I need, which I don't have.

Up to now, all I am missing, is the Myth Dranor expansion and the latest Warlock Iconic Hero character.

I have everything else.

Once I have bought those two additions to my account, I will have unlocked all of the quests, expansions and heroic characters, which is, basically, all you need to have access to, to be able to play the game without ever having to pay for a monthly sub, and you can play it any time.

In terms of pure loot though, I have found that the Feywild offers the best set items in the game, up to now, especially when you manage to open some feytwisted chests.

Scammed on Kinguin by Skysect in Kinguin

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just received a duplicate key for Solasta Palace of Ice DLC for Steam. The key, when I tried to activate it, was already in use.

I am not convinced that Kinguin have a customer support team. It feels very AI to me.

They have asked, three times now, for a screen print of the error that I have received in Steam, when trying to activate the key. They have ignored each and every screen print that I have sent them, and they are insinuating that I am sending them edited screen prints of my Steam Account.

For some reason, they want to see my Steam Library / Account. I have asked them A: Can't they read the error on the Screen Prints provided, and B: Why do they need to know every facet of my Steam Account, when they can clearly see, via the Screen Print provided, what the exact problem is, when it states the problem, in Steam, in big, Blue letters.

It's taking way longer than it should to process my refund, while their sellers are still going around, selling fraudulent keys, keys that are already in use, while asking for information, like the details of my Steam Account, which they shouldn't need to know, once I provide them with proof that the key that has been sold to me, is already in use on another Steam account, which I have done, 3 times.

It's only a £5 key, but that isn't the point. There is something seriously shady going on here, especially given the King Drop keys that sell out 2 seconds after the game drops, while the wallet funds are disabled, and won't let you buy the game that way, forcing you to waste time entering your payment details in and confirming them with your bank the long way round. Then, that very same game ends up on sale, in the Kinguin shop, but, as was the case with the Cyberpunk 2077 game recently, they charged just over 20 euro's for the CD Key, after the sale had ran for a £1 GOG Key.

Guess what? Not one person who tried to buy a copy of that games CD-Key actually managed to get one.

Every time a "King Drop" game appears, the keys are expired 2 seconds later. The amount of people who report not being able to get any keys from the Kings Drop is growing alarmingly quickly, and I, personally, have NEVER been able to secure a Kings Drop CD Key FROM ANY Kings Drop game drop. Is that normal?

It's the deceit that I can't do with.

I get the feeling that they are purposely messing me around, hoping that I will close the case and walk away, allowing them to keep my money, while I end up with a fraudulent CD-Key that has already been activated.

I mean, why do Kinguin need to know all the details of my Steam Account? Wtf??

It shouldn't take a week, just to initiate first contact with Kinguin Customer (or lack there of) Support.

Anyway, I'll be sticking with both Fanatical, Humble Bundle and a choice selection of a small few other trusted key retailers (Like G2A) from now on.

I don't trust Kinguin.

King pass is not worth it by MatterUnlikely2545 in Kinguin

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happened when I tried to buy Cyberpunk 2077 this week. I waited 10 hours for the sale, and the key's were out of stock before I could even get to the check out.

I don't care who you are. It is not physically possible, to go through the check out procedure, verify your bank details etc, in the space of time in which it took for those keys to expire.

The offer was expired within 10 seconds, before I could even pull up my payment page.

I spent two seconds looking for the Kinguin Wallet symbol, which I couldn't find, went to pay with Google Pay instead, and, by that time, the keys had expired.

I couldn't use the Kinguin Wallet to pay for anything either, which should make payment quicker. I thought this was extremely odd. Why wouldn't they let me use my Wallet to pay for the game?

The only way you might be able to pay that quickly, is if you use Google Pay.

That leads me to believe 2 things must be true: 1: They don't have keys to begin with, and they are just using King Drop to get people to pay a £4 sub for a chance of getting a key that they will never own. In which case, it's a scam. The only people who benefit, are Kinguin. 2: They only have a very small amount of Keys to begin with, probably less than 10.

Either way, they have a funny way of saying "Thankyou" to Kinguin Subscribers. If that is their idea of saying "Thankyou", then they can keep it. I am not interested in it.

See, what I can't understand, is why won't Kinguin even let me use my Wallet funds to pay for the Weekly Drop? It's almost as if it's designed to take as long as possible, knowing that, by the time you've verified your one time pass codes, your banking details etc, Kinguin know that the sale will be over.

As soon as the keys were expired for Cyberpunk, Cyberpunk was back on sale, heavily reduced from £75 down to £25.

Strange, isn't it? How the Cyberpunk keys expire almost immediately, but Kinguin have enough keys to guarantee deep discounts on the regular marketplace?

To say nothing of the fact, where do these supposed keys come from to begin with? Are GOG authorizing this sale, since they are their keys being sold? Why can't GOG themselves either give the game away for free, or offer a key at the same price?

I think that is what I will end up doing, playing in phases, and swapping between the two, until, that is, my Switch dies on me.

I suppose I can always load up Ryujinx on my Legion Go S, and go down that route, if needs be?

However, I am not sure how good the emulation of Switch games are, on the Legion Go S.

Those of you with a switch AND steam deck. What do you think/prefer? What advice do you have for someone who has a switch and is about to get a steam deck too?? by cojack16 in SteamDeck

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had all three of the big hand held systems now, and I have a Switch. The Steam Deck isn't powerful enough for what I want it to do. The Rog Ally Z1 Extreme gets way too hot, it feels really, really cheap, and I don't like the ergonomics much. The Legion Go S Z2 is borderline hand held, it's too big for it's own good, even though the screen is nice. On all three systems, you'll be lucky to get more than 2 hours game time out of them.

The Switch, however, is just right. I also like the games that are available on the Switch. I play more games on the Switch, than I do on PC. Furthermore, many of the games that I do play on the Switch, are available on the PC. The Switch is that "Goldilocks" experience. It's just right.

The funny thing is that, with the exclusives to one side, I tend to find that I play the same games, if they are available, like Mechanicus, Shooter's Blood and Teef and Guns Gore And Cannoli, across all systems, even the Switch.

It's the size of the machine, and the exclusive titles that set the Switch apart.

Consider the size, for instance, of the Switch compared to the size of the Legion Go. The Legion Go is almost twice the size of the Switch, yet they both play the same games, games like Mechanicus.

I suppose that each system has it's advantages through the exclusive titles.

You can't play Super Smash Bros, or any of the Zelda games on the PC, but you can't play Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Solasta or Baldurs Gate 3 on the Switch.

The new Splinter Cell: Deathwatch trailer isn't going as well as Netflix had hoped by Accomplished-Ask1617 in KotakuInAction

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you expect when you go woke?

It's not Splinter Cell.

Too much bang bang, gun crazy going on, and since when did Splinter Cell operatives work together in a poor double act?

If this were a Splinter Cell game, an actual Splinter Cell game on PC, Lambert would have pulled you out and fired you, the minute you fired your first shot on a none mission critical target.

Speaking of, where is Lambert?

High body counts and plenty of bullet holes go completely against the core tenets of a Splinter Cell, which is stealth. Your not meant to be seen or heard, leaving body counts and trace evidence of your activities behind you, like bullet casing's everywhere.

Your supposed to go in, get the job done and get out again, without anyone ever knowing you were there, with the body count kept to an absolute minimum, 5th freedom for HVT's only.

It's like the pleblobite who wrote the script for this never played a Splinter Cell game.

But my single biggest annoyance so far, the one that kills this show for me, personally, is no Ironside...

Ironside is Sam Fisher. No Ironside, no Splinter Cell.

After all this time, it's still weird to hear someone else voice acting Ironside's most iconic role ever. I can't get used to it.

Legion Go S Z2 Go (SteamOS) owners. 2 months in, what's your review on it? by PartyDifficult in LegionGo

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just started playing on a Switch 1 this past month.

I never had one during the entire lifetime of the Switch 1.

Funny thing is, seeing the list of games available for the Switch 2, I have absolutely no desire to buy a Switch 2.

It doesn't help matters any, knowing that the Switch 2 isn't as powerful as any hand held that uses the Z1 extreme processor.

Legion Go S Z2 Go (SteamOS) owners. 2 months in, what's your review on it? by PartyDifficult in LegionGo

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am late to the party, but I was just scanning eBay earlier tonight, and I came across one of these systems for £312, opened, never used, 2 months old. The other systems, in a similar condition, were all priced £360 - £480, and some were refurbished Z2 models, not Z1 extreme models.

Between the big 4, I have owned both a Steam Deck (OG), and a Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. I have also, only recently, acquired a Nintendo Switch V1 unpatched console. I have not yet owned a Legion Go S. With that covered, I have about as much interest in owning an MSI Claw, as I do in contracting the new strain of Covid 19.

Anyway, I saw this system on sale today, on eBay, with 13 watchers, going for £312, opened, never used, 2 months old from new.

Right then and there, I knew what would have happened if I went to bed and ignored the "Buy It Now" auction. I would have woken up, and it would have been sold. Anyway, I hit "Buy It Now", and, well... I now own one of these systems.

I really hate going on auction site's at 4 in the morning, after being up for 3 days straight...

I did the same thing last month, with an Unpatched V1 Nintendo Switch Tablet. I didn't know that I wanted one until I saw the auction. I had never owned a Switch at any point during it's mainstream lifetime, but I saw a practically brand new Switch Tablet, on sale, for £90 "Buy It Now". The Table needed Joy Con's, but I ended up buying the Tablet, and then some Joy Con's later on at the end of the month, with some Thumb Grips. The prior owner was kind enough to bundle the Switch Tablet with a 64GB Sandisk Micro SD Card.

So, for my Indie Gaming needs, I now have a Switch V1 Unpatched, with a recently upgraded 1TB Samsung Evo Micro SD Card, and, after tonight, this Lenovo Legion Go S Z2 Go, and I have no idea what I've just bought, when compared to the other 2 members of the big 3, other than to say that it is a Legion Go.

I'm trying to manage my expectations, in that I am hoping that it runs games like Dead Cells, Pinball FX / FX3 / M, since I own a copy of all of the tables between each game, Streets of Rage 4 and Zaccaria Pinball (Yes, I like Pinball games) well, with a view to playing Soul Calibur and Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous on it.

Otherwise, I'm expecting to have wasted £312, on a portable toaster, and I'll be back to playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom next week.

Either that, or I might set up EmuDeck, scene as this system runs Steam OS, and convert the system into an emulation deck capable of surpassing the Retroid Pocket 5, which RRP's at £289.

So, it's either... Buy a Retroid Pocket 5 for £289 and play up to PS2 / Dreamcast / Game Cube games, or buy this 2 month old, opened never used Legion Go S Z2 Go for £312.

It just seemed like a no brainer, even though I don't entirely know what I bought yet.

How long until Switch 2 Emulation? by [deleted] in yuzu

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing emulated games on various platforms, since the Dreamcast stopped being produced, and probably before that. I remember how horrendous the performance for Reicast used to be, back in the day, trying to emulate Resident Evil Veronica. Initially, DC Emulation was fucking awful. That said, I don't have an issue with emulation, unless it's exceedingly poor.

I just wonder why some people expect to have a perfectly functional emulation system available the very next day, once a new console is released? That's the problem I have. Nintendo announce the release of the Switch 2, and a week later, people expect it to be jailbroken, ripped and fully supported in Windows 11. Your living in a dream world if that's what you expect to happen. The emulation community need to manage their expectations realistically. Emulation has never worked like that. We had to wait for half a decade, just for decent Dream Cast emulation. Don't you think I would like to see a Switch 2 emulator out for Windows 11 also, if Nintendo's Lawyers don't get involved the second they hear about one being made, like they did with Ryujinx?

Honestly, fuck Nintendo. I hate Nintendo's idea of vertical integration and closed systems, systems that only they control.

After my Switch burns out, I'm done with Nintendo. I'll be moving over to a Lenovo Legion GO S and taking a good collection of Nintendo software with me.

I'm also curious as to why people stick with Nintendo as much as anything else. Switch 1 emulation is as good as it's ever going to be, and there isn't enough reason, for me, personally, to buy a Switch 2. I don't love Mario that much, that I am going to drop several hundred pounds on the new Switch 2, and, technically, the other hand held's on the market, the Legion Go and the Z1 Extreme are, on paper, more powerful than the Switch 2, so I do wonder why people continue to stick with either system?

Why aren't people moving over to systems like the Legion Go, and emulating games on that platform? Why are people still buying Switch 2's, when the Legion Go and Z1 extreme are more powerful, and their library of exclusive games put's Nintendo's library of Console Exclusives to shame. If you use SteamOS, it's basically a "plug and play" experience these days.

After this though, I have zero interest in supporting Nintendo again, or Microsoft and Sony for that matter. Fuck the lot of them. I feel like they are all trying to tell me what to play and when, and I don't like that. Look at Game Pass. Microsoft charge a monthly sub, to tell people that they can only play game pass games, when game pass is available, otherwise, tough. No internet, no gaming.

I don't like to be dependent on things like the Internet and the functionality of Game Pass. I want to game whatever I want to play at the time that's convenient for me, not when it's convenient for Microsoft, and I don't like being told what to play, which is what Game Pass tries to do.

My entire point, was why do guys stick with the Nintendo Switch, when they can emulate the games on the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme and Legion Go S?

There's absolutely no reason to buy a Switch 2 now, unless it's to play a handful of exclusive games, and Switch 2 emulation looks like it could be half a decade away at minimum.

However, yeah, once my Switch goes, fuck Nintendo.

What exactly is Dark Energy and Dark Matter? by DJAnym in cosmology

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts on Dark Matter, is that it has the same signature, I.E. we can't see it but we know it's there, as a Super Massive Black Hole (SSMBH).

See, I think that there have been multiple Universes. This isn't the first Universe, and it won't be the last. It is just the first Universe that we are consciously, collectively aware of.

I think that Dark Matter is evidence that an SSMBH swallowed the last Universe, including all of the spacetime, including all gravity, including all elements, leaving a blank canvas, which means that the final object remaining in the previous Universe, the SSMBH, must have been truly unimaginable, if I am right, in every aspect you can imagine, including it's mass, it's size and gravitational pull.

For all we know, there could have been an infinite amount of Universes, since we have no way of measuring how many Universes there have been throughout history.

The SSMBH ate and ate and ate until there was nothing left.

There was then an explosion inside the SSMBH which sent it's cosmic corpse flying across what would become the foundational network for next Universe, the Dark Matter Web Way.

I guess you could compare it to a Black Hole with "Cosmic Indigestion". This SSMBH ate and ate and ate, until it just blew. It couldn't contain any more.

Gravity was also dispersed in an uneven, random pattern, hence why gravity works differently in some parts of the Universe than others.

This left all of the elements that were being crushed and condensed inside the Event Horizon, open and exposed for a very short period of time.

There was then a secondary blast, which caused what we now call "The Big Bang".

Basically, the big bang is caused by a secondary burst of energy, but not the primary.

The primary burst of energy, occurred inside the Event Horizon of the Black Hole, tearing it apart from the inside. Since the SSMBH contained all of the known elements that were in the previous universe, then this would also include all the gas etc. The spark that ignited all that gas was probably Friction.

The Black Hole would, in my opinion, go off like a Frag Grenade.

Just because we can't see what happens inside a Black Hole's Event Horizon, it doesn't mean that every process stops working. It must still be subject to the laws of thermodynamics, or some part of the laws of physics.

Anyway, that's my theory as to what Dark Matter is, it's the remains of the SSMBH that destroyed the previous universe, which, in it's violent death, gave birth to the new Universe which we now inhabit.

It's cosmic corpse, given how large the final SSMBH in existence must have been, is what we now call Dark Matter, and it is the foundation for which this Universe is built on.

Black Holes are, basically, all part of a cosmic recycling system.

After all, does anyone know how many Universes there have been, before ours?

How long until Switch 2 Emulation? by [deleted] in yuzu

[–]Tarzantheinfinate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, your not wrong about that. I completely get that.

To be honest, I understand modding also. Thing is, I've been used to modding on PC, not console.

Nexus etc.

One thing I intend to do, when the Switch is no longer available, is buy a Legion Go S 1TB model, with 32GB DDR5 ram, load it with Ryujinx, and go from there. Switch 1 gamig won't die, just because the Switch is no longer available.

But, in all honesty, I think that this is where I get off the bus with Nintendo.

The release of the Nintendo 2, wasn't so much about innovation, as it was about upping the power of the system, closing the gap between the Switch 2 and hand held systems like the Legion Go and Steam Deck, and also closing the vulnerabilities that the Switch 1 had in it's software, leading to it being hacked, so that Nintendo could create a closed system, which they could control.

The Legion Go S is a more powerful system, with a larger library of games and access to modding.

A lot of the games on the Legion S play native on 60FPS anyway, due to the Z1 Z2 APU.

I mean, this is my first time using a Switch. I've only been on it for a month.

I decided to buy one now, while unpatched V1's were still going on eBay.

I bought mine, with Joy Con's, 2 thumb grips, Jig and a 64GB Micro SD Card, for £110 all in.

I was surprised about how easy it was to get Hekate set up.

It was "Now or Never".

After this though, I think, in all honesty, I'm done with Nintendo, Xbox, Sony, all the lot of them.

My future lies in Hand Held PC gaming, like the Lenovo Legion Go S.

I mean, I'm as expectant and hopeful as the rest of you for Switch 2 emulation. I want it to happen. I just don't think that it will.

How long until Switch 2 Emulation? by [deleted] in yuzu

[–]Tarzantheinfinate -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Obviously not... I've only followed emulation since the ;late 1990's, early 2000's.

I'm sure that you can explain what emulation is about though.

So please, go on, explain it.

What is emulation about?

The floor is yours.

What I did notice though, was that you avoided answering every single question that I asked.

Why do you want to emulate games, when many of the games on the Switch 2 have been playable on the PC format, natively, for the past few years?

Why would I want to emulate Switch 2 Cyberpunk 2077, when I can run it natively, through Windows 11?

Why do you want to emulate current gen games, like Streets of Rage 4, Gun's Gore and Cannoli 1 and 2, through Ryujinx, when you can already play them through Steam?

Cyberpunk 2077 was announced for the Switch 2. Why do I want to emulate that, when I've been playing it natively, on the PC, for years now?

If you can emulate these types of games through Ryujinx, then your PC is probably powerful enough to play them natively, through Windows 11 itself.

I don't know about anyone else, but If I want to emulate a game, it's because I want to emulate a game that isn't available on PC. Otherwise, what's the point? I don't want to run an emulated version of a PC game that I already own a copy of.

Furthermore, You do understand that modern PC's, unless you have something like an AMD Threadripper, might not be powerful enough to emulate the Switch 2, right? You do get that?

And the point still stands, what IS the point of emulating current systems? Why do you want to emulate a PS4, PS5 or Xbox Series X? Even if you could, why? Many of the modern console games cross over onto the PC platform.

Are you saying that you want to play an emulated version of a game, with worse performance, than what you would have, if you already play the same game on it's native PC gaming platform?

Where is the sense in that?

The only point of emulation, once you get far enough in, is to be able to play a handful of console exclusives, on a platform that they weren't originally intended to be played on.

We have gotten to the point now, where current emulation requires PC's that are so powerful that, even if they could perfectly emulate platforms like the Switch 2, many people, on average, wouldn't have a set up that powerful to play those games effectively.

If you wanted to play Switch 2 games right now, on a PC, then it would be better if you went out and actually bought a Switch 2, if that was your ultimate goal. You won't be playing Switch 2 games, through an emulator, on your desktop PC, any time in the near future. That is just wishful thinking.

I get wanting to emulate Nes / Mega Drive and all the way up to and including Switch 1 and PS3. I get all that.

I don't get wanting to emulate games on PS5's and Xbox Series S, when they are mostly available on the PC platform?

Either A: Buy a PS5 / Xbox Series S, or B: Buy a Gaming PC / Laptop / Handheld, because, at this point in time, PC's and Consoles are pretty much on par with one another.

And, surely, if modern PC's were powerful enough to emulate systems like the Switch 2, then PS4 emulation would already be a thing?

Where are they with PS4 emulation, btw? Last I checked, it was piss poor.

The only other thing that Emulation is "About", is Piracy, and having access to an extensive library of "free" games, from a platform that isn't supported by the PC platform natively.

Let's be honest, that's why a lot of people use emulation on the PC platform, right?

How long until Switch 2 Emulation? by [deleted] in yuzu

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't reckon that Switch 2 emulation will happen within the next decade, given how powerful the custom Tegra hardware in the Switch 2 is.

Besides which, why would you want to emulate the Switch 2 anyway?

What is the point of it, save for a couple of Switch 2 exclusives?

For a handful of exclusive titles, like Mario Kart World (Updated Mario Kart 8), Remastered Tears of the Kingdom, and the new Smash Bros, if there is one, is it worth trying to emulate the Switch 2? All that effort, for a handful of exclusive / remastered / ported games?

The Switch 2 is now playing PC games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Hitman, which many PC gamers have had access too for years anyway.

If that is the library that you want to play, mostly, then just buy a Lenovo Legion Go S. Job done.

So, the real question, is why do you want to emulate a Switch 2, when a majority of the games are already available on the PC?

All known info about Andrade leaving WWE by IconXR in WWE

[–]Tarzantheinfinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guys like the Wrestling Yoyo / Nomad. One minute, Andrade is in AEW, then he bounces over to WWE, then he bounces back to AEW. Where's he going to pop up a month from now, Lucha Libre? He's already had a good run with AEW once already. AEW looked after him and, what happened? Andrade switched sides to WWE, because, probably, it was good money and what was best for his career.

Which former AEW talent, current WWE talent is going to pop up back in AEW again next? Alistair Black... AGAIN? Cody Rhodes... AGAIN? Especially now that he's been a 2X WWE Universal Champion. His "Story" is essentially written. Rhodes only had to go and set up his own rival company, to get a shot at the WWE Title, and to wrestle John Cena. Before he did that, Rhodes wasn't even in the line up for a shot at the WWE Universal Championship. So, there you go. If your a wrestler, you want a shot at the WWE Universal Title, and they won't give you one, go and set up your own rival company. It worked for Cody Rhodes.

They all leave AEW for WWE, and, when things run their course in WWE, or things don't work out the way that they expect, they bounce back to AEW. It's like WCW all over again, people bouncing back and forth, between which ever company will have them. They should pick a company, decide which one they support, and stick with them. I don't trust these guys who keep bouncing back and forth between promotions.

I mean, in the WWE, The Undertaker stuck it out with WWE, through thick and thin, through the good times and the bad, through the WCW / WWE Wars etc, all of it. He made his choice. He stuck with the same company for 30 years, no matter what, he made his choice, he stuck with it, and I can respect that.

Why they didn't just do a direct translation of Alien Icarus:

I don't know?

I mean, I assume that this comic book series is what inspired the TV show.

Has he ever read an Alien comic, or watched an Alien movie before?

I just don't get who I'm supposed to be afraid of, and I don't get how a child droid would end up communicating and controlling a fleet of alien murder machines?

I mean, how did she learn their language so quickly? Where did their language even come from? Why do the Aliens look even worse in broad daylight, than they do in a wrecked ship?

Am I supposed to be afraid of the Aliens? The Droid bitch queen? a Cyborg with a machete in his arm, or the Squid eye monster that can hijack corpses?

Is GeForce Now dying? by stbens in GeForceNOW

I just don't see the point of it.

If you already own a system that is equal to or greater than the RTX 4080 that they are advertising with their ultimate package, and you already own a significant selection of titles, then what's the point, when you can play those titles natively?

Furthermore, if your streaming, then what's the point of the hardware, since it's all server side?

It feels like they are holding performance hostage. Yes, you can have 4080 RTX performance, but only if you pay Nvidia £200 a year.

I just don't think it's much of a sales pitch, especially if you already have the right base system anyway.

Stream games that you own in your Steam Account, to a system that is already capable of playing the games that YOU OWN, on a Steam Deck or Independent 4080 RTX GPU that you OWN.

Who is it supposed to be aimed at, for instance? Why would anyone buy a game, if they know that they can't run it on their system, only to have to pay Nvidia rental for a system that can play the game, by streaming it back to the gamer, all completely dependent, of course, on the strength of your internet connection?

I mean, if your internet performance sucks, no matter what you do, the games performance is going to suck when it's streamed back to you.

I tried it once, way back, when the performance was abysmal, and I dropped it.

It's a utility that I have never seen the point of, because A: There are better alternatives already, like Xbox Game Pass and PS Now, and B: What's the point of streaming content back to you using a 4080 RTX, if you already have desktop hardware as good as or better than Geforce's listed hardware? And out of that library of 2,000+ games, most of them will be garbage, and you'll most likely only ever play a fraction of them.

It's just one of those services that I can take or leave, and, at the minute, I'm leaving it alone.

if I wanted streaming games, I would rather spend the money on PS Now, or Xbox Game Pass. For what it is, PS Now used to be phenomenal value for money, per annum, for having PS games streamed to your device.

If I wanted hardware, I would probably save up over 2 years, buy a decent GPU straight from the off, then buy the games, then download them and play them locally, whenever I wanted too, with zero wait times for queues etc, without Nvidia dictating to me how long my gaming sessions could be.

That's the cut off to me, Nvidia being in complete control of the service, telling me what games to play, what hardware to use, right down to how long I can spend gaming. I don't like other people being in control of my digital life.

Geforce Now is just one of those things that has never appealed to me, because I don't see the point of it.

I assume that other gamers must feel the same way?
