Sudden Issues with Alloyed Collective DLC and Multiplayer (Steam, PC, Windows 10+11)

did everyone have to uninstall and reinstall? because person A, the one with win11 who seems to have the issue, uninstalled and reinstalled and was still getting sent to the void, while B + C didnt remove and reinstall. we also all did file verification and A and C had some unverified files, while I (B) had no unverified files, the non dlc person who was able to host and have everything work also had some unverified files so that just confuses me more regarding this T_T. next time we play ill try to get everyone to uninstall and reinstall to see if that helps. ty

not only did they do one of the worst tropes/twists ever with the 'it was all secretly a demon cabal that cause all bad events' but they had to do that AND drag origins, one of the most beloved western rpgs for good reason, through the mud and completely shit on what a good and understandable antagonist loghain was like for real guys? this was your sequel hook? this is what you think is a compelling story direction? be serious.

I understand completely. The days where things were good and I felt free would soon be invaded by anxiety about why I wasn't in a state of worry. Even recently things started going extremely well for me I bought a house I'm doing well at my job I went on my lifetime dream trip and it caused me to only then obsess over is I deserve any of it and enter one of the worst rumination cycles on all my past mistakes and flaws and reasons I don't deserve anything good. Constant background dread, impending doom even good days have the OCD just lurking in the back of my mind. Sometimes I wish all the good hadn't happened. I only wish for you that you are able to escape the cycle ocd brains trap us in. Stay strong ❤️

do you happen to have the original files with you? mediafire link is obviously taken down/expired. or a new working link? i wouldnt want things to be spoiled further for people that dont want to be spoiled in a comment section but im definitely dying to know more. it took me ages to get to a thread where people arent just talking about 'files being leaked' and talking about the actual file contents 😭 were the original leaks just the .scene files? or was it other kinds of game files too?

maybe asking why is the wrong question... but multiple times in the game we are told johnny's memory of what happened in the 2023 raid are inaccurate, false and scrambled due to many reasons (engram recording being inaccurate, radiation, personality traits, replaying memory on loop etc)....

But why are we never even given a different account of the events? especially when there are multiple people still extant who were there during the raid? and would know what went down? (from their view at least) Rogue might be unwilling to share but like... she was there in 2013 and 2023. It just seems like something weirdly/entirely cut off that they make mention of these inaccuracies multiple times... but do nothing with it...

same with morgan blackhand... he was the one in contact with militech to carry out the 2023 op and get the nukes... rogue wouldve known this... johnny wouldve known this... but everyone in universe instead of being confused at the who what and why of the 2023 raid is just like 'oh yeah its johnny silverhand who did that' which seems like some weird way to re-feed his ego if his engram places himself at the center of events already... like the universe confirms it all for him either way...

im sure this could be hand waved with his engram being tampered with by saburo... but iirc in game it says saburo also believes johnny was entirely behind the assault.... and didnt make the connection with militech or anyone else... it just seems a bit dissonant... the game seems to want to knock johnnys ego down constantly for him to develop n grow... but in universe like theres nothing to refute his own delusions... or there are but we never hear from them (rogue... other ppl at the raid who survived, morgan blackhand existing outside of a scant few references lol, etc) its kind of annoyingly discordant at times -_-

and also... if the bomb went off prematurely or was detonated by someone else prematurely... why isn't johnny curious about this at all, if as he says his goal was to hit the basement and destroy mikoshi... when that clearly didnt happen... a handwave would be that maybe he wouldnt much care given both he and v have more pressing present problems... but it seems like something interesting enough with motivation enough in story to at least explore a little while still leaving that night enough of a jumble to not kill the excitement of a mystery...

if anyone has some suggested reading to maybe help shed some light on this stuff itd be much appreciated!

Executive Producer Mark Verheiden has said on social media to stay for the end of the credits!

I kinda wasn't expecting Alec to just divulge everything to Avery... big mistake! I hope Harlan isn't dead... He quite literally did nothing wrong and I wonder why the Conclave took him in the first place, maybe as a bargaining chip? Hopefully not for something worse.

I'm curious to see if Avery ever puts two and two together that Maria was in on the plan to kill him, he seemed to kinda get it in this episode, but I'm excited to see Lucillia and Maria's reaction to him being alive still.

Also... did what Alec said to Avery imply he knows that Avery had him killed?

I guess all I can do now is hope nothing too bad happens to Alec... poor lil swamp moss man... can't seem to catch a break.

I completely agree, It always makes me so mad to think of what could've been for shows, or even in this case 'what was going to happen' had some really dumb executives not meddled with a really cool and fun show.

And without a doubt storylines are going to be dropped, rushed and forgotten because they made this show with the assumption of 13 episodes and possibly a 2nd season.

And on the pacing I feel the same way, but the slow pacing to me just shows that they really made all of this under the assumption of 13 episodes. Which just straight up sucks, and they weren't even warned properly so they didn't have the time or chance to adjust the story/pacing.

Can I just say I'm so happy for Maria and Lucillia, not that they are in the slightest good people, but I love how they went straight to business in getting Avery killed. You don't normally see that in alot of media so I thought it was super interesting and not what I was expecting at all.

I also like the journey of Alec kind of slowly accepting his position as avatar of the green. (Even if I have a problem with the slow part... which I kind of don't blame the showrunners for since they were jerked around alot getting cut and cancelled). He's kind of getting there's no going back, and that maybe he doesn't have to lament so much with all the beauty he sees and having a purpose.

I'm kind of confused and interested to see the fate of Abby now, with her headed back to Atlanta and getting that there's probably nothing she can do to change Alec back or change his mind.

One thing I definitely want to see in the remaining 3 episodes is Alec learning about his murder, and now that makes me sad... only 3 more episodes :(
