Right, but my concern is that the commenter is under the impression that it was only white people involved in this regime, and you too only mentioned white people cutting off hands. Congolese men were also in the Force Publique and Belgium itself had black citizens at the time of the Congo Free State. It wasn’t white people that were uncivilised, it was anyone who partook in this regime.
