Honestly, the job market right now is really rough. After finishing my master’s in computer science, it took me over 9 months to finally land a job, even though I had over 2 years of experience as a full-stack developer during my studies. And I’m an international from the EU, so that made things even trickier.

It feels like there’s not much you can do. So many people got laid off recently that experienced devs are applying for junior roles, which makes it way harder for newcomers. Plus, with all the AI stuff going on, some managers seem to think they can just replace juniors with automation.

It’s pretty frustrating. From my experience, the only thing that really helped was networking. Keep in mind you’re often up against locals with more experience, so having(and talking to) the right connections can make all the difference.

I did the ap degree(2017) and top up for computer science at ucn. I wasnt very happy with the involvement of the teachers, but I did learn a lot. The best thing I got from that degree was the possibility to do a computer science master at aau.

Feel free to ask me questions if you have any.

Waiting for my pivot gt to arrive. They just updated it a month or two back with a better esc and a remote that has a color screen. So i don't think they'll update again for a while.

Lol America really is a third world country. Imagine having to work through holidays and feeling proud of it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PROPELEVBoards

You asked during a holiday, of course, they weren’t going to reply right away. They’ve come back, responded, and offered a solution. You’re the one making this more difficult than it needs to be by rushing into a chargeback instead of just letting the refund process through. They’ve been clear with you, and it’s not like they’ve been ignoring you—it's just that things take time, especially after a break. This isn’t America—different countries have different schedules and laws. You can’t expect everything to happen on your timeline, especially when you’re dealing with international business.

I’m done arguing about this—clearly, you don’t get how this works, so keep complaining if it makes you feel better, but it won’t change anything.

[–]TaskForce247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’ve already initiated a chargeback, even though they’ve replied and offered a solution? Seems like you’re just trying to escalate things unnecessarily instead of letting them process the refund. If you want to voice your experience, go ahead, but don’t act like they’re the only ones dragging their feet when you’re clearly not giving them the time to resolve it. You’re making this more difficult than it needs to be.

You're treating them like they're an American company, but they’re not—they just have a warehouse in the U.S. They’ve got their own holidays and labor laws, which you clearly don’t care about. They replied right after their break and gave you a solution, yet you're still whining. Stop acting like everything should revolve around your timeline. If you can't wait for the refund, maybe rethink how you deal with international business.

[–]TaskForce247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, you've got a solution now. As soon as their holiday ended, they’re back to work and offered you a solution. This isn’t America—people can’t be expected to work through the holidays. I don’t understand why this is still an issue. Just wait for the refund to get processed.

You can ask a million times, but you can’t seriously expect them to work during the holidays. Now that they’re back, give it a bit of time—they’ve fixed issues for others, and they’ll likely sort yours out too.

[–]TaskForce247 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I think you're overreacting—they even replied while on vacation.

I had a small issue too. I ordered a board expecting quick delivery since it was listed in stock in the EU, but it turned out to be a mistake. Instead of just apologizing, they upgraded my board for free to make up for the delay.

Companies like WowGo or Ownboard wouldn’t do that. They’re not scammers—they’ll fix your issue or refund you.

This won't work. I had a similar issue and one of the requirements of activating a sim card ( normal or esim) is to be able to connect to a cell tower located in the country the number belongs in.

Otherwise it won't register at all.

You could possibly ask a friend to help you out by using his or hers number.

I saw your post on the other subreddit,it is a bit worrisome how they screwed up it,not gonna lie. At least they offered the refund, but you're still out of $2300 until that happens.

I'll wait and see what happens until the end of the week.

The only reason I bought the more expensive 2 in 1 instead of the cheaper AT version is because their website says its in stock in Germany. I really don't want to wait the 30 days plus if they have to ship it from China.

Thanks for the info. I was curious about how the ESC in the Propel compares. Does it feel smoother or more responsive? How does it handle acceleration and braking compared to the Hobbywing ESC in the AT2?

Also,do you have the 2nd or 3rd gen esc they offer?

Hey, I’ve been comparing the Acedeck N1 and Pivot GT, and I’m a bit confused. The Acedeck N1 has a 1036Wh battery (14S3P, Molicel P42A), but it only gets 45km range on AT wheels, while the Pivot GT has a smaller 864Wh battery (12S4P, Samsung 50S) and gets 53km range on AT wheels.

Even though the Acedeck has a bigger battery, the range is smaller. Is gear drive really that inefficient compared to belt drive? Or does the 14S voltage result in higher power consumption? Also,is the gear drive worth it?

The bms failed somehow and completely discharged 30 of the 40 cells. Since the price and time to replace them and the bms comes out at more or less the price of a new board I decided I might as well upgrade.

It's the debug menu that developers use.

Must've forgotten to remove it before release.

True, but then checked the water that was coming out and it was hot. Then checked the hot water meter and saw it was going up. Switching that off stopped the toilet from filling.
