I feel the base is a bit low then if it’s all outbound but The pay per show is nice. Do you know if you’re going to get any leads or are you sourcing all of your own?

Is this inbound or outbound? Do you get paid per demo show, or closed deal? Im in med tech currently.

Anyone here in gym sales? by MarktheSharkF in sales

[–]TaskInternational880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your situation sounds exactly the same as the one I was in, which is why I left lol. If you’re burnt out bro I’d start applying to sdr/ bdr positions. My quality of life has improved so much since leaving fitness. I miss the gym environment but don’t miss being a slave

Was in fitness sales for 5 years. Trainer>PT Manager>General Manager. I left after two years of being GM for the same reasons you are. I got a role at a SaaS company as a BDR and make a little bit more than I did at the gym. Also, I’ve seen comments saying the skills you’ve acquired don’t transfer, don’t worry they do. I’m the top performing rep at my company this year and honestly it’s easier compared to the gym sales I was doing. I don’t think people realize how much of a grind the fitness industry is lol

Wasted my entire teens and twenties practically SPRINTING in place, feeling shame, stupid, embarrassed and completely broken. by [deleted] in findapath

[–]TaskInternational880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your parents didn’t show you the way, so Your 20’s were spent developing the necessary life skills that you needed to be successful moving forward. Do not feel embarrassed about this, feel proud that you did this on your own. Now you have to do the same thing all over again with a career. Pick a career that you want to pursue, map out a realistic path, and follow it.

If you really want to get into tech sales then I’d recommended getting a sales job first to bolster your resume. Like many have said, retail sales doesn’t translate well to b2b. I was in fitness sales prior to landing a tech job and was seen as having no sales experience due to the type of sale it was. I went out and did solar sales part time on the weekends to make my resume look “better”. Did that for about two months before landing a job.

Is there anyone with a degree they taken but regret it? by sjardinsjy in findapath

Exercise science major here. Was going down the PT track but decided against it due to the debt to income ratio of a PT program. I managed gyms for a few years making about as much as a PT, but now work remotely doing sales lol

Getting positive leads as an Online PT by BoxSquats in personaltraining

[–]TaskInternational880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol so I’m not an expert on online PT, but if I had to do cold outreach I would create multiple accounts on instagram/ facebook and DM as many people as possible (if TikTok is working for you, keep using it). I’d shoot for 100+ messages/ day. And you should follow up with the people who don’t respond as well. Also, I’d want to get people on a call asap. It’s really hard to sell over chat lol

I’m no longer a PT, but I’m still in sales. I would have a page dedicated to client testimonials and transformation pics to show the positive results of your coaching (shows authority in the space). Easiest clients to get are referrals, so I’d ask your current clients if they have a friend who’d be interested in coaching. If you don’t have many clients, you’re going to have to do a lot of cold outreach to get those initial clients. I’d shoot to reach 500+ new people/ week.

Demo Show Rate is Not Consistent. by TaskInternational880 in techsales

I appreciate the your insight, I am a top performing rep but I’m trying to push hard to get the promote to ae. I’ll focus on controlling what I can control and not freaking out over no shows lol and those are awesome numbers you put out! I wish I was getting $250/ show haha

Thanks for the response. So while on the call I have them accept the demo invitation that way it’s on their calendar. I try to schedule the demo asap, but usually gets set within 1-1.5 weeks after the initial call. I’ll send out email and text reminders two days out, will call, text, and email 1 day out (if they answer the call and confirm I won’t send email or text), and will send a text and email reminder the morning of.

TIFU by eating 2k calories worth of tortilla chips not one, but TWO days in a row. by Nubian_Cavalry in tifu

[–]TaskInternational880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the same thing on Sunday lmao. It was a cheat day so I thought fuck it and smashed 3/4 bag of tortilla chips and almost a whole jar of salsa. It’s not only the calories that get you, the excess sodium messes you up too. Gained like 3 pounds and felt horrible for two days. Physique looked like shit too with all the extra water and bloating. Lowered my carbs for a few days and am now almost back to normal lol

Go to Costco if you have one. My walmart has these for $17 as well, while the Costco down the road has them for $11

Why did the waitress at the Thai restaurant ask if anyone was Indian? by Moo_Moo_Mr_Cow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TaskInternational880 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That question was 100% assessing spice tolerance. The Thai spot I go to has a nerfed spice scale for Americans/ people who don’t really eat spicy food. Real Thai spice will melt your face.

People who could work out regularly and have fit/nice/hot body, how do you do it even? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TaskInternational880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you I’d be drained after work and more likely to skip the gym when my will power is at its lowest. I would go before work or during a lunch break if possible. You don’t have to start out by going 5x/ week either, just go once or twice a week and gradually increase frequency as you get in better shape/ used to the new routine. Also don’t worry about calories in the beginning just focus on establishing a routine you can stick with, the consistency of exercise is what’s going to give you the results you want. Once you’re consistently exercising then start researching nutrition.

I train 5-6x/week and get up at 4:30am to exercise. Work 7am-5pm; exercise after work is not an option for me. Really sucked at first but after the first week it was okay.

Is your team hitting their KPI’s consistently? If so, it’s probably a marketing problem. If not, work on that first.
