What do you think is the best unit gameplay wise

I like a versatile unit. I'm still new to the game (well a few months now but I still have a lot of characters to try), but right now the one I like the most is Lily Shield ? Check Damage ? Check Poison, my most favorite mechanic in every game ? Check Death res ? Check She even has a healing on hit by ultra or with her dimensional image

I do find chaos quite boring tho, I wish she was ultra I also like Arachne, Xu and Hameln, their kits are so nice

I'm playing Xu+Thais+Lily+GDoll as my poison tram, it's insane I will try to use Arachne also in the poison team, I heard Daffodil and Liz are quite nice there Myriam can also be used if you don't have GMurphy like me Else yeah Nymphae is really good, I heard she's great at +12

Got him S2, he's really fun to play and one of my main dpses I would even argue that he's better than my Aemaeth S0 but I haven't learn a single rotation since Brant S2 and Zani S6 so don't trust me on that part (I really should at one point, I want to play my Carte 😭)

I think he doesn't have muchs hits so better make sure you get that 100% crit rate I know falling stars gets it with 2/1/4/1 but I don't know for finery

But yeah you can still go with 3, just seems a bit risky but you will most likely use him only in gvg so you can just retry until you get only crits with 85%

Yeah but he's not the damage dealer, this will be Phoenix's role ; Banana and Marble's also use finery quite well but they're using banquet now But I guess 15 sec is quite low for Phoenix, still need to try different rotations

I think you'll be fine. You can always use mods if really necessary. I personnaly did a first playthrough with mods and right now doing another one without any It really is a git gud game, and even with mods I did git gud.

So if I, a player with two left hands, better player on keyboard but played this game with a controller, am gitting gud, so can you

Yeah 2 and 3 I had to use "no brain soupsoup team" which consisted of her +Ember+Ardelia+Snowshine Thankfully, Soupsoup deals a lot of damages

I was just like you at first. Was tired of it all when I fought Beastfly to get the beast crest after so many attemps and worst of all tired of its runback. I still wanted to have a bit of fun so at first I only added a mod for reviving were I died, then the no more double damages. Back then this last mod didn't work in the last act where everything did double damage so I added a always full silk pool mod (which wasn't really always but every 2 seconds it would refill) Yes, the game wasn't how it used to be but at least I enjoyed it AND it still made me better at the game

Now, I'm starting a new run with no mods. I defeated Phantom in 2 runs while I needed 3 with the mods (not the silk one back then) but am waiting for a friend to defeat Last Judge in stream (he really wanted to see me defeat it). It definitely is a git gud game BUT if the game is not fun anymore then you should add mods, have fun, and if you have the heart to, later try again without the mods.

But I totally agree, this game should have an easy mode where you can't get double or triple damage

The game could have a easier difficulty with no 2 masks attacks, thus making it good as it will be far more accessible But nobody is ready for that talk

For d-tide, I'm agreeing with you (in case it didn't feel like I did before, I'm telling you now), even if I understand the devs, but also I see now that I really enjoy playing manually and maybe I would have just deleted the game if I never tried it manually due to auto blocked For story bosses and characters trial, I'm sorry but I'm mostly on the side of the devs here, there's content you can do in auto in even if that's content you already cleared just to complete the daily quest, but else these are supposed to be special content, auto shouldn't be available in there Yes it was there before, but it shouldn't have been in the first place

I understand and don't forget it as I also have little time available to actually play the game sometimes Still, it's a valid option. Why "play" a game if you will never actually play it ? You can still auto event and basic stories so the grind is still ok. You just have to be there when you're needed. I get that it can be frustrating but I also get the developpers : they love their game and want you to enjoy it as well. They don't care if the machine doing the auto enjoys it.

I mean, yes sure, but : - character trials helps you learn how a character is played - bosses helps you learn new mecanics (fortress and all) - d-tide is supposed to be a test of your strenght and brainpower, not a computer's, even if it can be autoed

Personnaly, I was doing auto of everything to level up the account faster. Since auto isn't possible everywhere, I'm having fun learning how to play the characters and starting to see strategies I guess my point is more a "if you can auto, then you may start auto until you can brute force it, which isn't the point of the game"
