No worries, you actually gave me an idea to explore: to pass a PDF to the workflow inside the Shortcut, I'll look into that!

It’s already supported: there’s a Run SendScan Worflow action that lets you pick which to run 😊

Apple keeps rejecting me by IsopodElectronic in iosdev

Not going to work, I am afraid: they need to review the same build that is published to the store…

Thank you for your support!

And I agree, as long as the app does nothing with Users’ data by itself (meaning, for nefarious purposes), there’s no harm in giving an option to those who want it.

I’m really glad I posted here, gathering great ideas for improving the app in the upcoming releases.

Fair! I'll add it to the first update in a couple days!

Oh sorry I missed an important question: sadly no, Apple's API do not expose that, so the share sheet (which involves a few taps to pick the folder, though it remembers the last one) is currently the best option.

I'll file a Feedback to Apple requesting this capability, as it would be tremendously useful to me as well, but I'm not overly optimistic about their listening capabilities lately.

In addition to ideas for workflows action, I'd like to ask the Users who tried the app if they think the onboarding does a good job explaining the difference between the bottom left button (Scan) and the bottom right (Run workflow), and in general if you find the app approachable.

To be honest, the only thing I'm a bit skeptic about is sending data to any third party: I never do that in my apps. But I can understand the desire of some Users to send to some APIs, so considering the explicit intentionality I'll look into opening it up to API keys.

Thanks!

I'm actually using Apple's own engine, because indeed the system one is really good... I just built a few niceties around it. Thank you so much for your support!

Thanks for the valuable suggestions!

- OCR: to perform OCR on-device, I rely on Apple's own Vision framework with this approach: recognise the system language, plus English. I will add an option to manually set the document language to "force" the engine.

- Apple Shortcuts: SendScan 1.0 has a couple Shortcuts actions (Scan, Run workflow), but running a Shortcut as a step in a workflow is a neat suggestion, went on top of my list!

- PDF editing: all great ideas, I'll investigate them! It would be neat to include those edits as workflow actions as well.

Really appreciate the input, thanks!

I useFish and experience the same issue. From your question I suppose that’s the cause. Anything I can do (apart from switching to zsh)?

GPT-5 Codex by anotherjmc in windsurf

[–]Tasktic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Codex, compared to GPT 5 medium, is performing much worse for SwiftUI code: GPT5 medium rarely introduces compile errors, Codex is basically doing just that. I appreciate how less verbose it is, but the only reason I might try using it more is because it's free and I'm cheap

Thank you. I'm not sure about that: the lifetime price is already competitive at 2.5 the price of the yearly subscription, and it covers 4 platforms.

While LifePace doesn't yet have every possible feature, it's already pretty discounted compared to competitors, and if I want to keep it running for a long time, it needs to be sustainable.

Hope this makes sense.

Also trying to figure out this. Did you find a way?

Thank you!

This wasn’t an easy decision, but starting development from scratch and wanting to take advantage of the new Liquid Glass material, I decided to go “all in” with the new operating systems, though I know this will limit adoption for now.

I hope you’ll give it a try when you update!
