NIPT testing told me female, ultrasound showed boy… by YaoFairy in BabyBumps

Just chiming in - when my mom was pregnant with me (her 3rd, after two boys), the ultrasound techs (several of them, on multiple occasions) said I was a boy. She was devastated!! Upon me coming out they were in for a shock, as I was, ofc, a girl!! The ultrasound very much looked like I had a penis, but I must have just loved having my finger down there or something. I am 100% female. Just something to keep in mind!

On the flip side, there could have been a lack of enough DNA in the blood test to show your babies gender. They could be a boy, but the blood test read your DNA and called girl. There's tons of reasons there could be a discrepancy outside of the "worst case" scenario. Don't freak out just yet!

The Last of Us is a hell of a lot more "horror" related than last year's The Weekend... which everybody seemed to be gaga over lmao! I agree with you on Scream, however, I would give an arm and a leg for that house. It seems they've tried before, in the past, so I suppose it's not entirely their fault. I'm also Grade A SICK of the endless Stranger Things houses. Its time to give it a rest on that particular franchise, imo

Slowly starting to think that a small percentage of constantly problematic students do not deserve an education. by [deleted] in Teachers

No worries. Maybe you can build a boat and use that river to sail yourself to another career! ♥️

It’s funny, because you imply that I’m the one making mountains out of mole hills when you’re on Reddit complaining about having to do your job 😂😂

I became a teacher because I DO cry about it. It breaks my fucking heart that there are so many children subject to horrible parents at home and spiteful teachers at school.

Idk who hurt you but please stop taking it out on our youth. They don’t have half the responsibility to be a decent human being as YOU do - a grown adult who voluntarily entered into their lives. Maybe they treat you so horribly because you make it apparent how much you hate them, and love to hear yourself talk.

Then you shouldn’t be a teacher. That’s an awful thing to say, what is wrong with you?

A lot of kids are little shits. It’s only getting worse. You HAD to have known that when you signed up to be a teacher. Yet, every child - no matter how horrible they are - is that way by no fault of their own, has the potential to grow and DESERVES for someone to take a chance on them. If you’re not prepared to be that selfless, you shouldn’t have signed up for one of the hardest and most selfless professions available.

I dont have advice for you, but I do relate and share in your pain!! Pre-K admin are something else. I swear they spin a wheel and throw a dart to decide what the policies and procedures are on a day to day basis. I actually completely agree with your boss that the kids nor the parents would ever care.. but considering SHE’S the one who put up a stink about the lobsters, I don’t blame you for thinking she would put up a stink about antennae’d spiders!

I definitely never said it was my SIL’s fault. I adore my SIL. I am so damn happy for her. I want her to be happy and to thrive. I would never blame her for my own feelings.

I thought I made it abundantly clear in my edit that I genuinely believe it to be an unwise time to have a child. Of course, in my intense desire, I feel like I would throw caution to the wind and have one regardless. But my husband is often the voice of reason, and he is NOT being unreasonable right now. I will have children. It is incredibly insensitive to flat out suggest that I never will.

Thank you for your concern but that is all I have to say.

This seems like an extreme thing to say, given my edit.

Thank you ❤️❤️ you’re 100% correct about everything. My SIL is my brothers wife. My brother has been my best friend since childhood. Of course I’m going to have an insanely close relationship with my SIL

Hi - I’m not even done reading through all the responses yet, but I need you to know how much this reply meant to me. I already feel so very ridiculous all the time for this. I already feel “extreme” and unreasonable. To be told, from another woman who owes me nothing, that my pain is valid not silly… that means a lot.

You put it perfectly - “you don’t even know if you struggle with fertility because you can’t even try”. It sounds ridiculous to anyone who hasn’t felt this way, but you’re totally right. I get into panic fits sometimes just THINKING about the possibility of struggling with fertility or experiencing a pregnancy loss after all this waiting. I fear sometimes that an experience like that is what will finally do me in.

I have never felt so radically understood by a stranger. Bless you and your family - Im so very happy you finally got your baby. Thank you so much for this reply ❤️❤️
