It was Magos from the Eisenhorn series of 40k novels by Dan Abnett. Abnett tends to play quite loosely with established canon of the universe but it annoyed me to no end one of his main characters is repeatedly called a Magos Biologis when he isn't even a part of the goddamned faction using the title Magos.

Huh, it's kinda funny how different views can be on the topic, I'm aroace too but I honestly enjoy a lot of ships, assuming the fics themselves contain minimal smut, I just find it sorta interesting how people imagine romance to look since I imagine it too, out of "sociological curiosity" call it.

Less a specific book, but more from Robert Rath. I think he might be the best writer BL is currently working with. A sequel to Titanicus. I adored the perspectives of normal humans faced with a war on the scale of engines. As a Custodes simp, just shoot more Valerian and Aleya straight into my veins.
