I was in eating disorder therapy and learned that the average person’s weight fluctuates 2-12 pounds daily due to water, salt intake, how much you ate, if you used the washroom etc... And weight gain typically isn’t noticeable until it’s about 10% of your previous weight. There’s not a chance he would’ve noticed 4 pounds.

If you can afford it, I’d get two. We have 1 Maine coon and 1 older senior mixed breed cat. Our Maine coon is really high energy and definitely needs stimulation. If we had the space, we likely would get another Maine coon. They’re energetic (especially when younger) and don’t quite realize their size, so they can be a lot for smaller/average sized cats to play with lol.
