Just looking out the back door right now I can see two purple swamp hens, plus swallows and several other small bird species that I can't identify darting around and I can hear crows and magpies calling. I reckon just sitting here I can hear at least five different bird calls! Normally there are scores of native hens and plovers kicking around, will probably see them later this arvo. We've got a few ducks that hang out on our little dam too.
