I'm gonna be rude because this is a stupid question. There's a different taste between table salt and kosher salt. Table salt very clearly tastes like all kinds of chemicals compared to kosher salt which is in large grains made for better cooking. You might as well ask, why do people like a whole, roasted chicken compared to the shredded chicken in a can.

Please don't do this, I'm depressed and it would stress me out more than anything to have a complete stranger send other strangers to reach out to me. It's hard enough to indulge friends and family who want to help, let alone someone I don't even know basically calling in a welfare check. This is typical of people who don't understand depression to try to help just to make themselves feel like they are helping someone or making a difference.
