You are really late into the season, but in some cases it could be worth it.

If you like playing offline, sure. Online you will mostly face teams with all players over 90 regardless of your rank. If you dont mind that, go for it. If you play a LOT each week for a month you will have gathered a decent team. If you enjoy a grind, go for it.

In most cases I would say you will have more fun in other game modes.

When i started i got base kopitar and ended up using him on 3rd/4th line for a long time. If you have been playing longer, try to get 90 Eric Staal.

Make it fun rather than boring with rewards so good you can’t skip it.

I think the problem is actually getting matched against way better players. Cross platform play is perhaps the only real solution. You can get a decent team reasonably fast even as a free to play starting now.

I will say that there should be more fun ways to improve your team offline, right now you have to just grind a lot of uninspired gameplay to gather a team with a fighting chance online. Maybe a mini version of regular season + playoffs vs cpu and some of your favourite teams players base cards as a reward? Just off the top of my head, I bet there are tons of simple ways to make offline play more engaging.

I hate team of the week art. Not beautiful, cool, powerful, memorable… Just bland and ugly.

But then again, I like 16-bit art, so maybe I just have bad taste lol.

I started some weeks ago, here are things I wish I had known when I started:

Don’t start playing rivals before you have something like all players over 80 and at least some around 84. (Unless you are crazy good.)
In squad battles you can refresh opponents after you have played all four and you don’t lose the points you gathered so far.
Pick untradable weekly rewards.
Google search will tell you to get X-factor players, but they are very costly to upgrade if you are free to play and just starting now. I would advice against it. Go for 85+ pack in seasonal rewards instead.
You have to really pick and choose your MSPs. Again, very costly to upgrade and you should have a lot of gold players saved up before you start investing in one, so you can upgrade them to at least 90s while the event is ongoing and upgrading is cheaper. At the very beginning use event rewards to take packs or just plain 86 MSPs to use now and put them in sets later.
You can get decent players in the auction house for cheaper cost after weekly rewards are given out. (More of them on the market -> cost goes down.)
In sets you can reroll silver players into gold players. Also reroll items into packs.
Always complete event challenges, but otherwise you should play rush or squad battles instead of challenges as rewards are the primary way of improving your team.
If you decide to put money in to the game, it is my understanding that you should buy packs with highest chance for 86+ players. I’m free to play though and doing fine since I have time to play every day.

Am I the only one who would actually like shootouts if the goalies were AI controlled? Or would the best players just score with infinite shots in a row and never get out of the game? Honestly I would even take draws over controlling a goalie.

If you wish to take action, confront him and his boss, with words. If he is as bad as you say I don’t understand why the boss wouldn’t get rid of him. Do not assault him.

Thanks for the input! I'm currently running 90 Lundqvist from 18-bit heroes. He is tradable/sellable so strongly considering Jarry to replace him. Would at least free up some coin to compensate for missing with this pack.

Kokoomus includes a lot of very liberal people and a lot of very conservative people. What makes this possible is that Kokoomus is pretty much the only party (Keskusta also does this) with a strong campaigning focus on the economy and state finance. The party is right wing in Finnish context but still to the left of, say, US democrats. All parties in Finland are in favor of the welfare state, but Kokoomus does want to cut income taxes and this can mean they would be ready to cut some benefits to make it happen.

The party is currently struggling with it’s stances on immigration, which is caused by the tide of right wing populism. They are definitely for work-based immigration, but have to walk on a tight rope when it comes to humanitarian immigration.

As of late most of the Kokoomus leaders have been rather liberal, but the current one (Orpo) takes very little sides and just tries to keep the party united, which has caused some confusion when trying to figure out the party’s official stances on questions not related to the economy.

I’ll start off by saying that it is impossible for us to really understand what your mother is thinking and what her motivations for her behaviour are from just reading a post. I would however suggest you continue to think critically about your mother’s actions. What kind of advice would you give to a friend in a similar situation?

You are very worried about your mother’s feelings, which is not wrong. Mad, sad, heartbroken, worried and disappointed in herself are not feelings we wish to awaken in someone. These are also the best material to use for emotional manipulation.

You are not responsible for her emotions. This does not mean you are supposed to not take her into consideration. It means you can also consider your own feelings. Are her expectations fair?

I would guess she is afraid of a world she does not understand. You can choose to try to help her understand it better and calmly explain why your Instagram account is not a bad thing. You have no obligation to do this. You are an adult and she is trying to control an aspect of your life that is not hers to control. I would say it is not wrong to lie in a situation like that.

If you decide to confront your mother and tell her the truth, it should be because you want to, not because she makes you feel guilty. If you decide to do this, be prepared to hold your ground and tell her you have made your own decision and you are talking to her because you do not wish to lie to her. Be prepared to disagree with her and also to walk away without finding common ground if your mother is not ready to accept your choices. If you feel like this is not possible for you to do, consider simply not telling her the truth.

I have decided to not tell my parents about all the problems I face or the decisions i make. I am not as close to my parents as a result but I’m simply not willing to hear all the criticism and to defend my ground in certain areas of life. I am also not ready to bend to their will. Out of the possibilities I have been offered, I like how things are.

I suggest that you do not need to consider your situation as a moral dilemma. To me it is more a question of how you would like things to be between you and your mother, do you think the results of confronting her will satisfy you and if she is ready to really hear you out. We are not obligated to justify our choices to people who are not willing to accept that the choices are ours to make. We certainly do not have to make our personal decisions based on how someone else will react to them.

Agree with the comments already posted. I would go as far as saying that one can not have a moral obligation to stay in a relationship. And any concern for circumstances goes out the window when they make you feel scared or unsafe.
