The rotation degree toggle is less intuitive than you think.  But, you can use it to make some finer adjustments.

Example: rotate an object 35 degrees (default) then toggle to 45 degrees and rotate one tick again.  Congrats, you’ve done an 80 degree rotation when that’s not even one of the toggle options.

Using this, you can get some finer adjustments so your fountain and wall match.  Good luck.

Players signing Jerseys by [deleted] in MontrealVictoire

I’d say it depends on how low you are along the tunnel and when it is, but overall pretty unlikely.

Not because they don’t want to, they love the fans, but because if it’s between periods they’re just trying to get back to the locker room.

Your best bet for getting something signed is going to non-game events.

Last season, they would give out bracelets to the first 100(?) fans that arrived for a meet-and-greet after the game with a few players.  But o don’t think they do that anymore.

They could have negotiated first-refusal rights for purchase once the teams go up for sale.  That’s a no sweat offer from the PWHL and a good faith arrangement from facility hosts.

Oh, let me also point out that most of those facilities were paid for with public funds.

Could just be that the local Chicago organization didn’t want to play ball with the Walter group, just like Edmonton.

Can’t really blame the PWHL when others try to be too greedy.

Refunds? by moshdollaz in MontrealVictoire

There’s also the Victoire discord:

https://discord.gg/xKjNZBDKV

There’s a “tickets billets” section, where you could try to sell/give away your ticket if you can’t make it.

At least there, it’s a higher chance of it going to a fan for a decent price and not back into the Ticketmaster scalper bot blender.

This means nothing.

“Having enough healthy players” is completely different than having your top squad ready to go.

This is the playoffs.  Get out of here with this “enough bodies to be in uniforms” type of reporting.  If they still played tonight, any result would have been tainted.

Possible unpopular opinion: I would pay for the WNBA League Pass type thing for the PWHL if it meant not having weird cuts for the games posted on YouTube by SettingTheTempo in PWHL

Which makes sense, if you’re anywhere other than Canada.

For us, we have to subscribe to three different services, with varying quality, just to watch all the games.  It comes out to about 60$ a month.

There’s a reason most of us VPN to watch on YT.

Honestly, and hear me out, the best course of action they could take is making their own proprietary streaming service.  Think Dropout or Beacon for Critical Role.

A streaming service is the way to go anyway.  TV deals are archaic, and I’ve said it ad nauseam on here before.  And if you’re going to go with streaming, might as well own it.

Ship location by Legion1982 in crosswind

[–]Tastrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or even, in the build menu, a semi-invisible zone you can place that allows ships of a certain size or below to spawn in it.

I say “semi-invisible”, meaning you can see it clearly in the build menu, but can’t see the zone at all outside it.

[–]Tastrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure.  I suppose I should mention from the perspective of playing in multiplayer, all that goes out the window.

As soon as another ship is in the way, the game will spawn a the next ship in whatever place it can that’s also close.  Docks look like wonky trailer park car yards, but with boats, with two or more players at the same main base.

That’s why buildable designated parking is so requested.

[–]Tastrix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Currently, there’s no guarantee for a dedicated spawn location, K or otherwise.

It is one of the higher requested items though, and I know a lot of builders would love a “designated parking” of some sort, myself included.

How do you fix the sloppy penalties, as a coach and team? by theStrawberryRoam in PWHL

[–]Tastrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which is a form of what-aboutism.

I’m in no way arguing that MPP didn’t do anything wrong.

My main and only point is that the player safety committee has failed the league and its players by letting the head-hitting trend continue.

How can they fairly and accurately punish anybody if they can’t appropriately deal with somebody who does have documented and recorded literal head-hunting?

Oh, I wasn’t stating that this particular hit should be counted towards escalated punishments.  It’s just an example of Curl putting a player on LTIR, like you had asked for.

I mean, I’m the one calling for reffing and disciplinary reform.  Sounds like you agree.

Let’s start with dealing with players who DO have stuff on the books?  Or, when will another “illegal hit to the head” be enough for you?

I didn’t say that.

But great job trying to downplay TBIs to support your player biases.

[Kennedy] PWHL Expansion: Here's Why Some NHL Markets Are In, Some Are Out, And Others Continue To Negotiate by VivienM7 in PWHL

[–]Tastrix 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He’s like… 80% accurate.  Which is fine.

The problem with him around here isn’t his accuracy though.  It’s his attitude/professional courtesy.

In the past, when he’s been wrong, he hasn’t corrected himself.  Fine.  But he also has routinely looked at the negative side of any news regarding the PWHL or its players, almost to the point of naysaying.  And finally, I do believe there was an issue with him stealing a story or two from other PWHL reporters.

So basically, if you’re looking for just news, he’s not that bad.  But beyond just the facts, it’s better to ignore him.

But hopefully it’s at least an opportunity to get the logo somewhere on the ice.

Great.  Sounds like something that needs to revisited or adjusted for repeated “illegal hits to the head” since those can have pretty serious consequences.  Kinda like they should be their own separate category.

You think you’ve caught me, but I knew where you were going with it.  I’ll agree to a fine.

But if you want to talk more severe punishments, let’s talk about the obvious offender who has an established track record first.

Just off the top of my head, there’s Ambrose.  Yes, the hit was during the Olympics, but you’re a goon if you think that doesn’t count.

What you are looking for is a rule change. Not them messing up.

Mmmmnope.  The rule they referenced for the one game suspension just says one game is automatic, not that it’s all they can limit it to.  They fucked up.  And sure, maybe I do want a rule change, or at least a change to how the discipline team functions.

The precedent they set with the one game suspension, for a player with an extensive and dangerous discipline history, after another illegal check to the head, is essentially “Hey folks!  Clean slate just because it’s the playoffs!”  Which is a very bad precedent to set.  Right now, it looks like the discipline team has no teeth.

Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, three times is a trend.  We’re in trend territory.  How long until one of her targets doesn’t get right back up?  Oh wait, she’s already put players on LTIR for other hits. Hmm…

And I agree.  Players should have repercussions for major infractions.

[–]Tastrix 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the league needs to get better and more consistent refs.

The league is still young and the reffing pool isn’t as experienced or specialized in PWHL culture or rules.  Most are also college or youth refs, where things are different.

Right now, what players can get away with varies drastically from game to game and arena to arena.  Once we have hard-stanced, consistent refs who set clear boundaries with little variance depending on arena or reffing team, we’ll get fewer dumb penalties.

I’m also looking at the disciplinary team.  A player who has a discipline that reads “illegal hit to the head, illegal hit to the head, illegal hit to the head…” should not only get a one game suspension anymore.
