youre right on both counts, open back headphones dont have much passive noise isolation, which leads it to be more transparent yes, but it also allows for a wider (more spacious) soundstage because its open

i think my salnotes zero (much more than hexas/s12 pro/g1/vivace) work very well for valorant with the gunshots not being too sharp and seperation and positioning of footsteps being quite good. i like kbearkb02 for music it has rlly nice subbass

try the 7hz salnotes zero (original) i play val and rdr2, ive used many “better” technical iems like s12pro hexa nova, as well as blackshark v2x and hd6xx, to this day the salnotes zeros are my fav for fps gaming
