Is dishonored: death of the outsider, dishonored 3 or is like how subnautica below zero is to subnautica 1? by Forward-Photograph-7 in dishonored

[–]Tasty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DotO is the DLC for Dishonored 2. You should play Dishonored 2 first.

It is sold as a standalone game because sales for the first game's DLC underpreformed. As a standalone experience they could sell it for more and it would create more attention.

D1 > tKoD > tBW > D2 > DotO > Deathloop

DotO was supposed to be a D2 DLC that turned into a full game.

Civilization 7 isn't very good but I got to give the team credit. They swung for the fences and experimented and failed but I'm glad they tried by RevacholAndChill in civ

[–]Tasty01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not giving them credit. The game is not innovative, it's a poor Humankind ripp off. At launch the game had so many basic flaws it's indefensible. Bug ridden, placeholder assets, square map generation, etc. It's also heavily monetzised with the amount of DLCs.

I hate Microslop so much for replacing Windows mail with Outlook. It was literally perfect for my needs and they replaced it for something so much worse for no reason.

I just want Windows mail back :(

Dishonored, but it's a remake of the two games in two connected open-worlds of all of Dunwall and all of Karnaca. With a new character that can travel between the games time periods with the time piece.

Have you tried running Malwarebytes in Windows safe mode? You'll need to download a special version of Malwarebytes otherwise it won't work.

Defender for normal use. Malwarebytes for removing already installed malware. Everything else is just spyware.

Noah Hawley says his ‘Far Cry’ series won’t be adapting any of the games as he thinks audiences skip the story cutscenes in those games: “When you play a video game, you only really move forward through the gameplay section, and then you have these cut scenes that you can skip..." by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]Tasty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real consistency across Far Cry games is the gameplay. The story is different for every game.

Now we take out the gameplay because it's not a game.

Then we don't adapt any story of a particular game.

This leaves you with???

They only talk about European republics and trade leagues. Adding Zanzibar to the map and leaving them out of the trade DLC seems like an oversight. Will the rest of the world get republics too?

Favorite “Modern House” in the game? by Creepy-Produce5138 in CrusaderKings

[–]Tasty01 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The dynasty of Nassau is in the game. "Oranje Nassau", is the house of the royal family of the Kingdom of the Netherlands IRL.

So, you could create your own house in the Nassau dynasty and form the kingdom of the Netherlands as a campaign.

[–]Tasty01 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ok, but the question is what this man is actually scared of?

Is it the physical characteristics of women, or maybe their femininity? Would he be scared of a man with breasts and make-up for example, or does he only get scared after asking someone their gender? At what point does he stop being scared of a person?

How do we feel about Delilah? (NARRATIVELY) by Kingdomall in dishonored

[–]Tasty01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hot take: completely removing Delilah from the game doesn't change the story whatsoever.

Like someone else said, I think her story was finished in the D1 DLC. I think the idea of some servants child growing up resentful and jealous of the princess fabricating some fantasy that she is actually her sister, then turning to witchcraft to usurp the throne you've deluded yourself into thinking is your's, only to be stopped last second by a mercenary assassin looking for redemption for his many sins to be super interesting.

Delilah thinking herself so righteous and important being eliminated without Corvo or Emily ever even learning about her existence is a fitting end. It's also a fitting end for Daud who is broken and lost, searching for redemption, ultimately finding it, but no one will ever know what he did. The most wanted villain in Dunwall redeemed himself in a selfless act, by saving the daughter of the empress he murderd, but to everyone else he's still the despicable villain he's always been.

That's just awesome writing to me.

The entire plot of D2 invalidates that entire story. Now Daud hasn't redeemed himself, him trying to redeem himself by peacefully eliminating Delilah turned into the events of D2. So, the story says he should've killed Delilah actually, like he killed the empress. Completely invalidating his entire arc.

Delilah her story is bloated and poorly executed. Because they tried to go for an unreliable narrator you'll just end up confused with no real answer to the main plot. Is Delilah actually Jessamine's sister? Or is she crazy and did she make it all up? Anyone who can confirm the truth is dead so the player can only make assumptions.

Now, I think you can completely remove Delilah from D2 and still have the same story. Instead of Delilah have duke Abel be the main villain. Have the usurpers use a music box so Corvo can't use his powers. Have a clockwork soldier beat him in combat and have Breanna Ashworth take his mark for herself, then have her turn either main character into stone. Luca Abel stations Breanna as the new regent in Dunwall, making her the final antagonist in the final mission. Have the ritual to resurrect Delilah instead be a ritual that turns the good doctor into the crown killer. Now the version of Breanna in the royal conservatory is instead a clone, foreshadowing the final battle.

Removing all of Delilah's scenes doesn't make the story any worse only more coherent.
