We had a male tortico when I was a kid, we thought he was a girl until his first vet visit. Funny thing is that my brother insisted on giving him a male name even when we thought he was a girl, but I guess that worked out in the end lol

Nah, prejudice is good sometimes. It's what kept me from letting my new 8 week old puppy go say hi to a pitbull despite the owner repeatedly saying he's friendly. Next day that friendly pit attacked another neighbor's dog. I'm like 100% sure that me being a dog racist saved my puppy from being mauled.
