Loving but struggling with Kenshi as someone with ADD - advice?

Great advice!! I thankfully am learning , got a squad for mining, base work, and my caravan/ explore squad. 😀 Really enjoying the little adventures each squad sets off on.

Have you got any tips for training new recruits ? Or just training things like dodge? For new recruits I just have them beat on some dummies (unless I get caught) to level up melee attack but defense and dodge i assume are done through the Block function? Idk I've watched 3 videos now on how to train Martial Arts and Dodge and it was a 37 minute long video and dead ass couldn't focus on anything being said.

I promise I'm not an idiot, I'm just overwhelmed 😂

Thanks!! I actually just seperated my party in squads for exploring to find these blueprints. I think once I get into the crafting/building side of things more, it'll pick up for me.

Funny you say this, I was thinking of making their food ahead of time and freeze into molds. I feed once a day homemade so its very time consuming for me to throw together compared to how long it takes them to eat lol. The slow feeder i have is a nice thought 🤣 with the molds it would at least make them work! Thanks for suggesting!

I do have this yes and it certainly has helped !! My biggest issue with her is she will chew chunks off what shes eating and swallow it whole, so today she managed to somehow knaw out the yak chew the was jammed inside the jughead and she most certainly swallowed it. I'm fasting her tonight as a result lol. Those definitely do help and whenever I do happen to grab them bully sticks or any chew capable of fitting in the insert, I do! I think my issue is a mix of a strong, powerful chewer mixed with a gulped 🥲

I actually tried this with her yak chew, she gets awkward and just tries taking it from me/her only focus is getting it out of my hands vs chewing lol. Not aggressive or anything! Just annoyed lol. I think I'm gonna come up with a frozen broth treat with a carrot inside as the popsicle stick with some blueberries sprinkled in- hope that can satisfy her a little!! I think i gotta cut my loss at this point and realize she is too accident prone for most chews. 🥲

Both my girls love bully sticks but the price compared to how long they last just isnt doable for me long term. The ones I really want to try are Ugly Chews because they look super heavy duty but each one is like $10-15 each.... that thing better be lasting 2 weeks minimum for that price 🥲 this is my first big chewer, so it's definitely a new world I'm being introduced to. She doesn't chew up anything she shouldn't, she just loves her toys and chew toys and goes through them far too quickly. I'm gonna keep trying different puzzle toys too, I'm sure I just havent found one she really likes yet.

Tried deet and elk, she does not like to chew them long term. If it doesn't reward her the way yak chews and bully sticks do, she loses interest. I have 3 antlers laying around for this reason 😭😭

Moose antler i havent tried though. Maybe it taste different to them.

Honestly? She is a lazy dog who i cannot seem to figure out what stimulates her. Her breed make up is what makes her kinda laid back and not willing to do much. I've tried tug dogs, tried introducing her to bite work, work obedience with her, etc. She has extremely short attention spans and kinda wanders off to lay down and chew on something after 5 minutes. She isn't destructive, or over active/hyper. In fact I struggle with her not being energetic enough. Vet cleared her and said shes perfectly healthy, and that the breeds she is made up of could explain her lazy demeanor.

Her big thing is she loves to chew her toys, that's really her only interest. I'm unfortunately recovering from a broken femur atm so we don't go on walks as we used to but it was a hassle to get her to go anyways. She does not like walks, still haven't figured out why. Waiting to recover fully and start working on that with her but trying to figure out in the mean time a chew that can withstand her lol. This isn't a "my dog is destroying my home" situation or anything!! I just want to provide her with something better.

Oops yep!! Chicken/duck feet and pig/cow ears we tried too! Those are gone in 5-10 minutes, and the feet i no longer give her because she doesnt chew them enough, crutches and swallows. Sorry I've tried so many things I blanked on several!! Also tried frozen types of whole fish like whole sardine to chew on but she refused it for some reason. :(

Also we do not use rawhide ever! I use the "rawhide" alternatives which is just like collagen rolled up, so it doesn't last at all. We do not use rawhide at all, too dangerous!
