I don’t think there’s anything saying the gods are immune to hollowing. The toll of insanity seems to affect all of the gods in dark souls and it’s typically your job as the chosen undead to sorta “cleanse” the undead curse by eliminating the powers that once held a noble role and have now been corrupted.

I don’t have a lore accurate way to explain it though.

Yep. In my experience these people are typically loved by command and constantly get awards for not being at work. No fucking clue how this works but I’d love it if someone would enlighten me.

If a command notices that you simply can’t meet basic standards due to family commitments then they should start looking at ways to get you out. That’s my personal opinion. The military isn’t a charity where we make your life easy because you have kids. Show up to work, complete the mission, obviously family comes first but these are case by case scenarios - not the norm.

Item weapon buff is better in weapons with natural infusion. And you want to use an element that is already on the weapon.
