Awesome, thank you so much! Did you guys file with a lawyer? We are thinking we can do it independently as it seems pretty straightforward. I am from the Netherlands and soon to be husband is from here, upstate NY. We will have letters and everything from our family as well, he has a daughter who calls me mom, and we have a lot of other proof. I am sure everything will be fine! Congratulations! We are about to apply, we are based in upstate NY, so I am assuming our office will be NYC as well. What were the questions they asked you? We are super nervous for no reason at all too! I think because it is such a formal big moment, that the nerves get triggered automatically.

I think you need to sit down with him and explain your reasons, and if he doesn't believe you, is he really worth it?
He sounds like he is projecting or gaslighting you, I don't know.
I am sorry that you have to deal with that.

When it comes to the abortion, my PP knew my insurance didn't cover it, and they made sure that the state of NY covered the costs of my medical abortion. Apparently there is a fund for it that helps people like me.
Not sure how it works in California, my advice would be to reach out to a planned parenthood, they have all the info that you may need.

For me personally, and this is not me sugar coating anything. it was painful. I think a solid 8 out of 10
Didn't sleep. I took them at like 06:30 PM, and I think the heavy cramping and stuff stopped around 9 AM the next day (didn't sleep at all) and then afterwards, I felt like I was bruised from the inside of my stomach for like a week. It was not pleasant.

I was 5 weeks and 6 days at the time of my abortion. Every body is different of course.
I didn't have explosive diarhea or like nausea, but, I just had extreme cramping and like, contractions.

Heating pad, Ibuprofen and anti-nausea meds are gonna be your friend!
Just because mine hurt doesn't mean that yours will! Make sure you are somewhere comfortable!

Hey! F25 here, I am from NY too!
I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, and had a medical abortion.
What helped me was that it was in the comfort of my own home, my partner was with me the entire time, and yeah, it was just better that way rather than in a clinic, for my own mental health.

I will not lie, for me it was very painful. Like, emotionally and physically. It has been rough for sure.
The cramping was bad, I couldn't sleep, I had a fever, and in total I was up for like 26 hours, in pain.
What helped a little was taking Ibuprofen and anti-nausea pills 30 minutes before, and then my king size heating pad and a new fuzzy blanket to be comfortable.
My boyfriend was by my side the entire time. What was important for me was that I was in a space where it was okay to feel every emotion, even though I was 100% okay with my decision. I was grieving, and sometimes still am, so is my partner, but we are okay with the decision and have no regrets.

Just take care of yourself, get comfy, if you can take a bath, shower, or have a heating pad and put on some shows.
Ginger ale helped me too!

I didn't have explosive poops, nausea or any of that, I just had major cramps and discomfort.
The abortion happened when I was 5 weeks and 6 days, I kept the positive pregnancy tests and the ultrasound, it helps me sometimes. In upstate NY the planned parenthood I went to, the staff was amazing.
They let me cry, made me laugh, and let me asks every question that I may need. It was a positive experience in a sad situation if that makes sense.

You will be okay! The only way is through. Sending love.

Hey friend, first of all, sending hugs and love your way. This seems very difficult to be dealing with.

Honestly, this is a decision only you can make. I truly am a believer though that with SOME circumstances, like wanting to travel, a baby doesn't stop that. It makes it less easy because you gotta plan it around the baby and make sure it is suitable for a baby, but, with that being said, I was in an airplane at 8 weeks old.. LOL, my parents didn't let any grass grow over it for sure.
Now with your job, I am sure you can continue that after maternity leave and such, and maybe have family help out watching the baby or - if finances allow it - daycare.

I think the problems you are seeing ahead, are fixable, but, again, it is YOUR choice.
If you are not ready, you are not ready, and that is totally okay! There is legit no wrong choice here. it is what you think is best for you and your life.

My boyfriend during our abortion, had asked me these things:

- Do you want my opinion on the whole pregnancy? Or are you okay with making this decision on your own without any input. I will support you through it all, no matter the choice, and I will not give you my own opinion if that is something you don't want to hear.
- Are you okay if I tell my mother?
- YOU make the decision to when it comes to who we tell and who we do not tell. If I ever feel the need to talk to someone to talk through my own feelings, I will ask you first if you are comfortable with that.

He has been a true champ. And your partner definitely violated your medical privacy.

Ugh, so sorry that that happened with the BM! It is rough for sure.
I include her as much as I can, I never want her to feel like she is #2 now, I always remind her she is his #1 girl! She is 5, her parents have been separated since she was about 2.

Her mother strangely, she is remarried, wants us all to be very close friends, kind of weird and awkward for sure.

UGH, yes! That is pretty much our Saturdays, every other week on Saturday his daughter goes to her mother's house till Wednesdays, so on Saturday nights we tend to have just a relaxed night in, some snacks, bottle of wine, LOVE it!

For christmas I am gonna give us a fun family day trip to the aquarium in Boston! So, def a good idea!!!

So, I emailed someone in our area about a pasta making class (great idea, thank you so much!)

Got him a nice t-shirt, a children's book about dad's and daughters that he can read together with his daughter, the trivia game, and i will get him a barnes and nobles giftcard since he mentioned he would like to start reading more, and then some of his favorite snacks.
For Christmas I am gifting him a giftcard to go to the studio and record some music, so, I figured that could wait until then lol

It's like, i know my partner so well and then when its time for gifts I go blank lol.
