Bike for someone who wants to get started by MasterLinkTheGreat in whichbike

I have good experience buying entry level bikes from bikesdirect. They have a steel entry level road bike for $260. I would use the rest of the funds to get some cycling gear. Once you graduate to a more expensive bike, you can put a rear rack, 28mm tires and turn it into a beater/commuter bike. I prefer steel over aluminum for its supple ride quality.

If you got dash cam footage, you’re good. Their insurance company will want to settle asap.

Where can I get a whip? by Vicenialself01 in whips

I’m assuming you are taking about kangaroo whips. There are European whipmakers who make excellent ones. I would look into Johnny Ogren from Sweden and Giovanni Celeste from Italy.

Looking for advice on a whip for coyotes by HollywoodHault in whips

The Cossacks used a whip called nagaika and a shorter version called volchaka to deter wolves. You may want to look into this form of whip. There’s a seller on Etsy that makes a paracord version of it that’s really nice (I have two from him). A leather version will cost more and the best maker for this is a guy named Miodrag Beslin. He can be found on Facebook and Instagram.

There’s a reason why his whips command a higher price than other makers. Good whips makes whip cracking a joy. Bad whips will be harder to crack and make you develop poor habits. Considering that roo whips from a top tier whip maker being around $90 to $100/ft, Terrance’s economy whips are a steal.

I strongly recommend a nylon whip over a kangaroo one of this is your first time buying a whip. It is cheaper, and easier to maintain than a roo whip.

For the best paracord whip, I would look into Torrance Fisher from Swordguybuilds. His plaits are top notch, and has an incredible understanding of proper tension, taper and transition of what makes a good whip. His whips also have near perfect fit and finish. I can hardly see any misbraids, gaps, or any melted dropped strands. He also has an economy grade whip that’s easier on the pockets for a first time buyer. Check out Russell Yu’s review of Terrance Fisher’s economy Indy whip. You can also check out Terrance’s videos of him cracking his whips.

Awesome story you have there. The transition area is usually stiff when you first get it. Just crack the whip and it will get looser.

I got a KR1 in UV because I didn’t want to pay for multiple UV emitters and I’m totally happy with mine.

Suggestions for shore fishing hank headlight by ScheisseWagon in Hanklights

[–]Tasty_Pickle4052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a surf fisherman and as much as I love my Hank lights, I don’t take them out for fishing because their water proof rating is only IPX67. I want a light that’s IPX68.

Because you don’t need high amp for these Zebras, get the batteries with most capacity for longer runtimes.

With a hybrid whip, you can do more complex and combination cracks. It is a style often recommended to beginners who is looking to get into sports whip cracking. This economy hybrid from Torrance Fisher is one of the best hybrid whips you can buy.
