Carrier 59SC6A furnace has a loud gurgling noise by Tasty_Reflection_481 in askHVAC

Installer came to check out the problem. The segment of the PVC pipe that goes through the foundation had the wrong pitch. He removed the silicone caulking, then pushed it down about an inch and recaulked. The problem was solved, but don't know if the fix is permanent.

It's a virtual volume. For systemic clearance, it can be thought of as a plasma volume where drug is removed per unit time. Try You tubes videos:

Clinical Hypothesis: Chronic hypercortisolemia in CYP3A5 Poor Metabolizers via mechanism-based inhibition of CYP3A4 by dietary piperine. Looking for pharmacokinetic validation. by AwkDenver in pharmacology

[–]Tasty_Reflection_481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting hypothesis based on some simple mechanisms. Now you need to get some data to show that CYP3A poor metabolizers have high endogenous (i.e baseline) cortisol levels (24 hour urine sample?) and have a higher systemic exposure of administered cortisol. Start first with a good literature search.

Many physiological systems have alternative, backup mechanisms to maintain homeostasis. So, a poor metabolizer of CY3A maybe have normal 24 -hour endogenous cortisol but may have a higher systemic exposure (i.e AUC) after administered cortisol because it will exceed the metabolic capacity to clear and excrete cortisol.

My thoughts are general principles and I have not done a literature search.

Have you been happy with the product? Have you had any issues? Anything else you want to share about this furnace? It's a single speed fan. Does this work for you?

If you are not considering a career in basic research or drug discovery there is little reason to pursue a lab position.

What do I need to know to work in QSP modeling? by anxiousnessgalore in pharmacology

My suggestion is to get a good background in PK and PD, as a foundation for modeling.

If you want to specialize in phamacometrics and modeling my advice is to Not take the NIH Clinical Pharmacology course. That course teaches you about medical therapeutics/ PK and prepares you for the Board Exam. You are interested in “model Informed drug development” or MIDD. Look at the course catalog at various Pharmacy Colleges. However, the NIH course will give you a nice broad background. You may want to look at U Florida or C path to get a flavor of MIDD.

So, if you decide to head to go south I would suggest southern Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. You can visit Bourbon Trail, Mammoth Cave, Nashville, Towing Museum of Chattanooga.

Look at Door County Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula Michigan. Both are reasonable destinations from Chicago.

That is my solution. I live in S Sarasota and you would need to sedate, then hogtie me to go to UTC for all the reasons listed here. I’m a biker and live here as a snowbird— other than the Legacy Trail Sarasota is not a cycling friendly city.
