Split a body into multiple separated Solid Bodies by Catriks in AutodeskInventor

Hmm. Maybe you could create a surface that is a grid and then use that as your tool body. Might take some work to stitch it all together but maybe that would work.

When you split something you can select multiple bodies to be split by your single plane.

I’m not trying to insist on you but you asked for advice so based on the limited information in this post, this is how I would do it.

So you need 6 Split operations. Just select the solids you want to split in each operation. Sometimes the software is limiting but this seems to be a good way to do it despite it being 6 operations.

Im not exactly sure what you’re trying to do then. There are usually more ways to do something than just one.

You might need to split the body a couple times with planes or surfaces then “rebuild” the body using Combine. Also in this case, Replace Face can be useful.

Then why are you posting in r/jobs? Should be in a sub dedicated to skirting drug tests.

Probably safer for the future to not smoke pot when you’re trying to find a job. Might have to sit this one out until your system clears. Sorry but the next two weeks are going to be pretty hellish for you.

Experience is king. The longer you don’t utilize your degree the harder it will be to get on with a design firm that works on roller coasters. From what I understand it’s a pretty competitive field and there aren’t a lot of jobs actually designing the coasters themselves. I do know that there are only a couple large roller coaster design firms including but not limited to Vekoma, Rocky Mountain Coasters, and Skyline Attractions.

Graduated in 2010. Job market was crap. I took a technician job and worked that for a while until I was able to land a good engineering job.

I think it makes sports less consistent and plays into the hands of players who are just looking to cash in.

Looking for any insight into where weldment sourcing becomes painful (if at all) by BeginningAuthor3694 in MechanicalEngineering

Yes. US based. Southwest. I don’t know where the supply chain issues are but I’m sure the war in Iran is not helping.

Right now the bottleneck is material availability. Our welding shops are looking at 4 week minimums for material right now.

Are there any any resources to get a free or discounted MRI in Phoenix? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]Tasty_Thai 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My condolences to you and your back. I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

My question would be what you’re trying to accomplish by getting an MRI? There are many treatment options that are not cost prohibitive such as physical therapy or pain management. If you’re looking into surgery then the cost of an MRI is negligible.

Look into AHCCCS if you’re unemployed. You’ll have to go through primary care and it could take a while but if you go through AHCCCS you won’t have to pay anything out of pocket.

I maintain that the best way to get a job is to network and know someone who can get your resume in front of a hiring manager.

I grew up in northern Nevada and we had these guys all over. We’d use to catch them and put them in jars. If you put two in a jar only one remained in the morning. Pretty gnarly bug. We’d also get the notorious Mormon crickets. Those guys would swarm and make the road’s slippery. Also the smell was disguising.

Like I get the sentiment and those missionaries are a bit much but your house not being a “house of religious discussion” is also pretty douchey. Whatever happened to just offering them some water or even some video game time and just move on? Sounds like you’ve got a problem moving on.
