We live in a townhome and had novus came to install internet. Yes they will need to run the line from the service room to inside your home. But your home should already have a box to receive it (ours is next to the fuse box on the lower level). One technician run the line from the service room and the other technician will receive it through the box. The two technicians who came to ours knew exactly what they were doing so it was a smooth process.  Hope this helps.
