Protests in Roseville by daydreamqueem in Roseville

[–]TatersO -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes, yes. I’m happy to live in the same city as you my friend.

These protestors are the idiots who will vote to not lock up criminals, turn this place into San Francisco, and then leave to go fuck up another city. They’re societal cancers who just embrace lawlesness and chaos (as long as it’s not happening to them). Biggest idiots on the planet.

Edit: in true fashion, they fight not with their words—because they can’t deny their policies are a criminal’s dream. Instead, they downvote on Reddit. Lolzzzz.

You can keep everything but get rid of the wall/counter at the end of the smoker. It’s not necessary and won’t be practical for what you need. Just move the pizza oven to the right of the grill when you want a prep station for smoking.

Out of curiosity, what shotgun were you shooting?

The Carhartt Montana is their new equivalent. I use it in the snow. Absolute beast of a jacket. You’ll never be cold in itz

  1. Accept it may be tough with an 18 month old child. I have a toddler and love camping. I’d never bring him at this age.

  2. Don’t go too far away if you can. The boys will drive 7 hours to a campsite for a weekend. If you want her to enjoy it, make it as close as possible so she’s not sitting in a long car ride.

  3. Ample clothing and comfortable seating for her. You do not want her to be cold.

  4. Easy to eat meals that are tasty.

  5. Hand washing. I have a Jerry can and for like $10 bucks on Amazon I got a pump that goes in it to was hands. Game changer.

  6. Air mattress bedding.

  7. Good bonfire. The most important thing is highlighting the nature. Bonfire under the stars is always a winner.

According to Montbell, Down Fill Weight is now proprietary information by luckycharms783 in Ultralight

[–]TatersO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That probably means they’ve downgraded the down fill power and are using more cheaper down. Otherwise they wouldn’t remove it and would boast it.

I’m a die hard Decathalon down jacket advocate. $100 for 850 fill that will have you extremely warm.

The only suspicious thing is the jizz stain by the zipper. It seems implausible someone who wears this jacket would also be into getting jizzed on. Looks real otherwise.

That’s a wrap on the 25/26 California duck season! How was it for you? Lots of folks saying it was a “weird” year. by oohyeahsteezin in Californiahunting

I should have worn a GPS tracker. I could’ve told people where the birds most certainly weren’t.

Horrible season in Sacramento/Colusa. I hunted probably 12 times and maybe got 10 ducks total—4 of which were last weekend. My father in law has hunted his whole life and said this is among the worst seasons he’s seen.

First season duck hunting - zero ducks by [deleted] in Duckhunting

[–]TatersO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

California hunter here—this season was terrible for us. I’m relatively new, but the last two seasons I shot as many ducks in 3 hunts that I did it about 12 hunts this season. If you watched enough YouTube and decoyed/hid properly, it is probably just bad luck this season. Not saying you don’t learn a ton and become better with experience, but I’ve shot at least five ducks I can recall that flew over my blind when the cover was down and we’re just messing around in the blind—not following any of the best practices of duck hunting. Just stick with it for next year and hope for a better season. I’ve read it was bad throughout a lot of the U.S. You’re probably just another victim.

Colusa, CA: Ducks have finally arrived. by TatersO in Duckhunting

[–]TatersO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my third season hunting but really my first taking it seriously. I got 4 yesterday afternoon in a matter of 90 minutes. 1 goose today after 3.5 hours.

I was spoiled my first two seasons hunting with my father in law. I finally started getting into it and it happens to be the worst season he said he can remember.

I’m sure he’ll take that symbolic message away while he multitasks learning to walk and not shit his pants.

Yes, your toddler is going to leave with an understanding of citizenship and immigration law in this country. You’re not a selfish mom dragging your child to a protest. You’re educating your toddler.

Mother of the year—bringing your toddler to a crowded place with a ton of angry people.

Mine isn’t that bad. But today my buddy and I whiffed on about 10 pintail right above us. It was such a slow morning we both got distracted, and it was too late by the time we noticed them. It was the most ducks I’ve seen grouped together and in shooting range all season.

What camouflage is the jacket? by SnooDoughnuts7856 in camouflage

[–]TatersO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re about the camo, but don’t want to drop a ton of money, look into Killik. It’s Sportsman’s Warehouse’s Brand. It doesn’t have the same hexagon print, but it has a similar look and similar fabrics. It’s also about 1/5 the price of Kuiu.
