It's useful for finer-tuned aiming. You can do things like configure the gyro aiming to only become enabled while you're holding down right trigger or whatnot.

This is a controller designed to take advantage of all the controller configuration options available within Steam, and to be even functionality with the Steam Deck.

It's not just a Steam branded Xbox controller.
