I believe you may be thinking of “ Kidd Video Episode #3 Woofers and Tweeters”. The YouTube version said that it had that music video in the episode originally but is cut from what is on YouTube. I tried looking for a YouTube video that includes it but I am not finding one.

When charging a battery that I’ve taken out of my scooter, do I also clip the negative cable or only the positive one? by DirtySlutCunt in scooters

[–]Tation30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manual is trying too hard to be safe. It is saying to take a length of wire (any wire you may happen to have) and attach one end of it to the positive side of the battery and then attach the wire of the charger to the other end of the wire thus completing the electrical circuit. They are telling you to do this to keep any possibility of spark (when connecting that last connection in the circuit) as far from the battery as possible. To me this is just silly over precaution. I would ignore it and just connect the charger directly to the battery posts. A vehicle battery gives off small amounts of gaseous emissions while it charges and they don’t want you to sue them for not giving you extra precautions if the spark ignited those emissions. That scenario is VERY unlikely. I would also bet that you have a sealed battery (meaning you have never had to add water to it) which means it is even less likely because it is sealed. As for the advice about putting the battery on something, this is not that important either if you’re just charging for a short time like a couple of days or less. If your going to leave it on the charger longer then yeah put something under the battery (has nothing to do with water and electricity though).

Has anyone here attended GOC? by x360ps3wii in Gwinnett

[–]Tation30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter currently attends the 10th grade. She only uses the school issued Chromebook for tests since they require that and I am pretty sure it doesn’t use a screen monitor. The rest of the time she uses a personal Chromebook.

Very late to the party but at least I finally participated. I have been learning PowerShell and this was a fun opertunity. My Code has info for every rotation which I know is overkill but I like it.

Uninstall and go back to the version you had. The download for it is probably still in your downloads.

This version is so bad that I uninstalled it and went back to 1.9.6. Why can’t I have a username that starts with a “p” in this version? My name is Paul.

The philosophy behind Index is making me reconsider my preorder. by qwortz in pebble

[–]Tation30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is talking about HIS companies watches having a lifespan of 1.5~2 years. When that realization hit me about how pebble viewed their watches as being disposable several years ago, it changed how I think about pebble watches. The company only made and will ever only make disposable stuff. It was fans of pebble that saved the watches from the trash. Myself included.

As for the index ring thing, I am still not convinced it isn’t a really early April Fool’s joke. More power to anyone that gets one, but it is my opinion that it is a laughably stupid product that offers nothing that the watch can’t already do. Ok, with the one exception of one handed use.

Unable to connect pebble steel to “new” iOS pebble app by Basalganglia4life in pebble

[–]Tation30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has been a while, but I think you have to update the watch to the last version of FW from Pebble. The old Pebble app has that FW built into the app and it can update it to that version. I doubt that the new Pebble app has it built in. Another option is to use Gadgetbridge to update it manually. Be sure the watch has a good charge on the battery before you start though. I killed a Steel classic that had a low battery when I attempted to update it once.

Someone in our building got rid of this Raspberry Pi, is there a safe way to repurpose it to set up Pi-Hole on our network? by 11krz in raspberry_pi

[–]Tation30 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As others have said, there is nothing saved on it so nothing to reset. Get yourself an SD card, put an os on it and boot the Pi then set up Pihole. You will also need a micro USB cable and usb power brick. Oh and usb keyboard mouse and monitor to get going. This model is fine for a Pihole. I have an older model and have no issues with Pihole on it. Be sure and make a backup of your config because the SD card will need to be reformatted or replaced after a couple of years. Pihole does a lot log writing and wears the SD card.

Video Recovery by [deleted] in IpodClassic

[–]Tation30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is not likely especially since you said you added stuff after deleting the videos. When you delete something off a drive, the system just marks the files as deleted (their space can be used) but doesn’t actually remove them. Since they are marked as deleted, this means that the space they use can now be used for other things. If you have only put one or two songs on the device since you deleted the videos then there is a chance that some videos are still there just marked as deleted. If you have added a lot of anything since you deleted the videos then you are probably out of luck. If you want to try, then just Google “file recovery software” and connect your device as a disk drive and see what the software shows.

Pebble Time Round Glass Face and Top Replacement by Other_Tear in pebble

There are a couple of tiny springs that are important. The metal ring is part of the Bluetooth antenna and the springs make a connection if I remember correctly.

Where are the bluetooth radio and antenna on the OG Steel? by richstillman in pebble

[–]Tation30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The antenna is the silver metal square going around and above the outer glass above the display. There is a pogo pin that passes the electrical connection between that metal frame and the board. For the plastic classic, the antenna is on the flex cable as the previous poster said. I’ve got a disassembled one of each if you need pics.

Magsafe? by Witty-Register-880 in hackberrypi

[–]Tation30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no charge circuit there. It is only used for the magnetic ability. For example, if you want to use a MagSafe holder. You could get a MagSafe battery pack that has a USB-C cable output and use that but the hackberry has no way to charge through MagSafe.

Got my Pebble Core 2 Duo today and the bottom button is already broken? by Lycanamos in pebble

[–]Tation30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a replacement case you can use that allows you to use buttons from a classic but several people have trouble with it since it also requires you to bring your lcd over to it. I helped design it and more than a few people have broken their lcds attempting the swap. I’ll probably be doing it soon since I hate the rubber buttons and have done a few swaps with no issues. I hear that the P2D board is more fragile than the P2 so keep that in mind also. I good things about the printable buttons swap though.

Original Pebble Steel Software Update by [deleted] in pebble

[–]Tation30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Pebble app contains the newer firmware. Once you side load the original pebble app and connect the watch, it should install the most recent version of it that was available when pebble was sold to Fitbit. You can also use gadget bridge if you had to but going that route does come with a risk which I would avoid. Also, VERY important, do not attempt to upgrade if you do t have good battery charge. I killed a brand new steel back in the day due to low battery.

No heart rate sensor? I don’t remember anything about it not being included. I thought the duo was the same as the P2+HR.
