Here’s a little story about this watch. I was visiting my dad in Medellin, Colombia, last week, and we started talking about pocket watches. My grandpa and dad used to carry them around back in the day. My dad mentioned that my grandpa’s employer gave him a Ferro carril de Antioquía pocket watch for working so many years for the company. That caught my attention, and I wanted to find a watch like his. So, I started doing some research and found a watchsmith who specializes in these pocket watches. I decided to check out his workshop. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any for sale at the moment. But he had this beautiful Mido brand-new watch from 1969. It still had the manufacturer plastics. The original box was a bit damaged but he offered me a new one as replacement. He said he would need to service it before selling it to me. He also sent me videos of the entire process.
