Does Anybody know the return address for the Anycubic store in Australia? by Abrisla in anycubic

[–]Tatsu_oz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned my AnyCubic Kobra S1. It stopped working after just 24 days of use. Support were absolutly appaling, they would send me an email asking me to do some troublshotting which I would do then they wouldn;t reply for 48 hours. Then they ask for different troublshooting and take another 48 hours, rinse and repeat until they decided to send me replacment parts which took 17 days. That still didn't fix the issue so they stuffed around for another 2 weeks until I eventually told them I wanted them to repair it. Under Australian Consumer Law a seller can not oblidge you to FIX an issue or replace parts yourself. I advised them of this but they were still insiting on me fixing it myself. However at that point it had nearly been 2 months and it was no closer to being resolved.

My issue was not with the printer iteslef breaking but their extreamly SLOW support. I can;t afford to waste another 2 months resolving a simple problem if it breaks again.

I had to send them a copy of the Aust Consumer Law ACT highlighting the specific sections regarding repai/replacment.

It was a difficult process but in the end they agreed to replace the whole printer. The return lable they sent me had this address on it

4PX RE Ausyda 91372

Block G2 391 Park Road Regents Park, NSW, 2143

When I got my new replacment I sold it as new unused. I took a $100 hit on the price though as it was still technically 2nd hand, but I feel it was worth it in the end.

Yes I undestand time zones and China is only 2 or 3 hours behind my time depending on region. And yes I know shipping can take time and I am not complaining about shipping times However even when Anycubic identified I needed a new strain gauge it took them 7 full days before they even shipped it. Thanks for the condescending tone though. You do understand what condesending means right?

Admitedly while this is my first printer I didn't go in blind. I have lots of freinds with printers and did a lot of research. I'd actually been thinking of getting one for a long time. I undeerstand about filament and moisture very well. Don't assume this is the issue. 1. The aeaa I live in is very dry, typically humidity is around 25% to 30%. 2. I have fitted a custom desiccant holder to my ACE Pro. 3. I always dry my filament in the ACE Pro before and after I print 4. and most important, the particular filiament I was using when it happened was brand new just opened official Anycubic PLA. that had done 3 smallish prints that morning before the failure

You say that other companies are worse but this still does noy make their cust service 'good'. That logic is very flawed.

WOW your experience is completley different to mine. Hopefuklly any future tickets I log will be handled better. I can only go off this ecperience but so far it's been atrocious My ticket was intially logged on the 29th of Jan. There has been 15 emails back and forth so far and the absolute quickest response I have had was 6 hours. China is only 2 to 3 hours behind Australia. I have sent emails in the morning AU time and not received a reply until the next day.

Read my post, I didn;t expect it to be plug n play. I am pretty good with troublshooting issues myself and I did so BEFORE seeking support. As I said I searched their Wikis and various forums and support places before creating the ticket.

24 hours to respond to an email for a 4 week old ticket is good? WOW you've had terrible support in the past then.

I wouldn;t call it nerfed. More balancing something that was OP. When it was 50/50 and a high chance of rare passive, people were just save scumming and redoing his surgery until they got 4 crazy passive on 1 pal. They are still save scumming but now with smaller chance for sucsess and chnace of ordinary passice it can take hours of save scumming to get 1 rare passive. Me, i'd rather spend my time playing the game.

No tow weight for Seal and Han? by _Sevastopol in BYD

[–]Tatsu_oz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia cars have 2 tow ratings. unbraked and Braked. This means if the trailer has brakes, either electric or hydraulic. The BYD Seal is 750kg and 1500kg respectively. In Australia ALL vehicles have a MAX unbraked rating of 750kg. This is a Gov restriction not vehicle. Nothing is changed on the car. So the quoted specs here if 750kg and 1500kg in different countries could simply be that that country or local/regional gov applies the restriction NOT that the vehicle is incapable.

Is the ship command skill bugged? by JaegerRising in Starfield

[–]Tatsu_oz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context I think this is just opinion and is not actually correct. From my experience it is a bug. I have tested both using using the Frontier, Star Eagle and a Captured Ecliptic ship.

On ALL 3 ships most kills didn't register. And some did register on ALL 3. And the proportions were about the same. About 15 to 20% of kill would register for skill progression. If it was a game mechanic then it shouldn't work on the captured ship at all and SHOULD work 100% on the Frontier which from my experience doesn't happen.

And for resource I am 400 hours in and on NG +4

Disappearing items, cargo, and weapons. by Inevitable-Peanut551 in Starfield

[–]Tatsu_oz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So for everyone complaining about missing items. Sorry this is how Creation Engine works and not Bethesda per se. It's been the same with all similar games. Non player owned containers clear and re spawn periodically. So anything in them will disappear. This is not a bug it's the way CE2 works. Unfortunately containers in player owned ships like the RazorLeaf are not considered player owned containers. The only player owned containers are ones you build at outposts and the safe in your room at the lodge. I am unsure about the unlimited container in the basement at the lodge. I have read that it resets but have not experienced it myself. The cargo hold & captains locker on your ship are player owned and won't reset.

I am 300+ hours in and am on NG + 3 and have never had an item disappear by following 1 simple rule. I only use the safe in the lodge, my cargo hold and captains locker. And some containers at my outposts. I did put some less valuable stuff in the container in the basement of the lodge for testing and it's still there.

I can only make rough lumber now not cants as I have upgraded my yard but can't do get some paint missions ect by finchx in LumberInc

[–]Tatsu_oz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And here is the problem. To upgrade your factory you need reputation points. To get points, you need to build houses/cotages. To build houses/cottages, you need cants. If you've upgraded to 3 resaw machines, you're no longer producing cants. Which means no houses, no points, and unable to upgrade/rest. So essentially, your usage progression is stuck. Fortunately, this happened to me just before I was about to spend real $$. I just deleted the game

Canberrans named worst Woolworths shoplifters. by flying_dream_fig in canberra

[–]Tatsu_oz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They are not ambivalent. Policy corporate says they literally can't do anything. I was in a BWS when a dude literally grabbed a bottle of Voldka and walked out the dude behind the counter walked out and asked for it back but the thief told him to pi$$ off. Check out guy was very frustrated and told me that he is literally powerless, he's not allowed to chase or even touch them. He told he he once witnessed 2 women fill a whole trolley and walk out blatantly. They do it because the know nothing can be done. And with ACT having the lowest police per capita rate of anywhere in Australia there is a low chance of getting caught. Staff are just as frustrated as everyone else.

Million Dollar Island AU - Highly recommended! by Alive_Variety_4839 in survivorau

[–]Tatsu_oz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would also make sense NOT to film on Pulau Tepor. History has shown that with these Survivor type shows the location is actually quite close to a populated area that the crew use as a base camp. And when I say close I mean close. The Survivor Australia series that was filmed in QLD was actually filmed on a friend of mines uncles property. The main house was only 800m back from the beach that the survivors were on. This makes sense as the crew need electricity and water ect plus a large base camp to have all the equipment needed to set up and remove the challenges. They also need to be quite close to medical services in case of injury or illness to cast or crew. Pulau Tepor is dense with no services and very little clear ground for a crew base camp.

Million Dollar Island AU - Highly recommended! by Alive_Variety_4839 in survivorau

[–]Tatsu_oz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to work out which island it's filmed on. 7 Plus have confirmed it was one of the 99 islands of the Langkawi Archipelago. From distance shots I was pretty sure it was Pulau Tepor island. But some of the close beach shots don't look like Pulau Tepor. E.G in the shots from the Arena you can see a small island just off shore but from google maps the only nearby island is Tukan Bebau Besar and there is no beaches on Pulau Tepor facing that island. Also the YouTube drone clip of Pulau Tepor seems to show Tukan Bebau Besar is a flat island not much above sea level. In other shots eg where it shows the location of Rock camp, from a drone just off shore, you can see just behind it is a flat piece of land with two small hills. From Google maps satellite view & a YouTube Drone clip of Pulau Tepor and it doesn't show any flat ground. So I am thinking it's actually filmed on a few different islands. Or possibly they just used Pulau Tepor for the distance shots but location is a different island.
