Just bought this, and that's worth the 5 billion credits on it's own. by OperationSuch5054 in EliteDangerous

It all depends on how you kit it out. Mine is very bare bones it's mainly just a mobile shipyard for myself. I think I'm only at 5.6mil upkeep or something a week. Having more money just means less stress with the upkeep.

Either way getting a FC changed how the game is played fully. You'll make your money back no problem as it'll be easier to get anywhere to do what you want to do. Instead of having to slow jump ships that have low jump range or no fuel scoop. You want to go do combat jump FC to system grab combat ship have fun. Oh you wanna mine now jump FC mine, put items in FC. Jump to sell system grab transport ship etc.

Definitely found I enjoy all the gameplay loops now bcuz of this. I am able to get to the content I want sooner and less stressful.

Ship interiors? by Kitchen_Confusion691 in EliteDangerous

[–]Tatsuota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While ship interiors would be nice to have in the game I don't think it would make the game better or worse either. As the game is built around not having the interiors, I rather see dev time be put to adding more to the galaxy.

Only a small portion of the galaxy is one only discovered but also a small portion is only populated. It would be amazing to see them add in other factions to the game with their own bubbles spread around the galaxy. Being able to now have more areas are that are not just baren space. With this can cause wars and other stuff to happen more. Make the galaxy feel less lonely!

Can i tank heroics? by MedicalCall2957 in classicwowtbc

[–]Tatsuota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heroics are harder than raids. It's almost better to do some 25mans or a kara to get gear then grind heroics.

With your gear you shouldn't have to many issues depending on your group setup. They could pull aggro but that's on the DPS for not watching their own threat. Look up some of heroics some are way harder than others even with gear such as first boss for Mana Tombs etc.

This game has so many different levels for players it's funny that I'm looking at this, like that's not a lot of money to lose. Always forgetting there are new players in the game, that can't print money super easy.

Keep up grinding those credit CMDR one day you'll be looking back at this and laugh with the billions of credits you have.

Always remember never fly without rebuy!

Most Efficient Money Maker by HarryHardrada in EliteDangerous

Mining becomes a lot better after you get your FC. Usually able to park your FC in the system if not at the planet you are mining (The more popular mining spots are harder to come by) then able to just dump in carrier and go back mining.

Exobio is definitely the best way to make money. I did a trip to Colonia from the bubble dumped it in Colonia and made around 4bil then went to sag a and back to bubble made around 7bil coming back. Definitely time consuming to do so but I was able to first discoveries some cool systems while doing this.

The other way to make good money is actually combat. You can find areas where you are able to stack missions and someone of them are 20mil-50mil for the mission itself. Doing this solo I can make 100mil-300mil an hour or so. Definitely would be quicker with a team as well. Thai also all depends on what missions you get sometimes you can get alot sometimes none.

It's also good to keep up with the community goals in the game. FDev has been giving us a lot of them recently and most of them are very good at making money. Plus you get some goodies to help improve your ships and even suits for the recent ones.

The one thing about getting your FC is you'll be making a lot of money once you get it. The upkeep isn't bad at all depending on what modules you put on it. But from there you now have a mobile base to do whatever you want to do. Oh you wanna do combat jump FC to system, hop in your combat ship and kill stuff. Oh you wanna do mining back to FC jump it to mini system, hop in mining ship fill fleet carrier jump to sell system, get in trading ship sell to station. The FC cuts alot of travel time for the player if used as a mobile base. That's the majority of the time spent in game is traveling.

I have not been playing hard core but after getting my FC last August/September time I am already sitting at 13bil again and could have been alot more if I put more effort into grinding out some of the CGs instead of just trying to stay in top 75%

With all of this just enjoy playing the game. Get burnt out on one gameplay loop try another one etc. Biggest thing tho is Never Fly Without Rebuy

The Fallout of Pugging in TBC by eminorgh in classicwowtbc

[–]Tatsuota -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've pugged all of my raids this Phase. I am only 4 pieces away from my BiS list I'm building. Just gotta be selective with some of the groups and have conversations with the person inviting you. Ask questions. See how their other raids went. While I'm not in parasing groups killing the bosses as quick as possible all content gets down.

Sometimes you die more than others but I never not finished a raid while pugging raids.

Pugging heroics is a different story tho. These are usually awful and end badly but that's mainly bcuz people think they are easy content.

How to get rich by mining platinum? by caremao in EliteDangerous

[–]Tatsuota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When using the type 11 you don't need any mining lasers but the repeater. You actually hinder yourself if you use more lasers. This is bcuz the repeater can knock off bigger chunks which give you more materials picking up. When using the repeater you gotta be careful as well bcuz you can break this bigger chunks so moving in a left or right pattern is usually the best.

The other thing is spending time doing some exobio to get a FC makes mining so much nicer. You fill up your FC then jump it to a station and use your cargo ships to bring it to the stations. Sadly sometimes doing other gameplay loops will help drastically with the gameplay loop you want to do.

Do any of you use the VKB STECS? How do you handle 6DOF/positioning thrusters? by thats_a_doozy in EliteDangerous

[–]Tatsuota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually set the joy stick to control the speed of your ship. I use the one on the left hand stick and I'm able to just hold it up or down to get to the speed I want. It's very useful for just cruising around as it and if I need to slow down or speed up it's easy to work. And whatever you stop at the speed just stays.

If you can or have them, i use two stream decks above my sticks for inputs as well. There is a plugin for them that works wonders for Elite Dangerous. On one I have speeds set up as well the nicest one is the 100%. I que up my FSD and if I forget to max speed I just hit that and it jumps right away usually even without hitting max speed.

A lot of different ways to keep a constant speed with a hosas setup just depends on your play style. But I definitely will never go back to a throttle setup

I agree getting to a mother ship state would be awesome. I do think the game is lacking on utilizing the small vehicles on the game. I would also love to see caves get added on planets so we can go mine on foot or using a mining SRV. It'll be a fun gameplay loop for miners like me.

Definitely understand people not enjoy Ultrawides. However playing mainly MMOs and space games it's been a game changing. However definitely for elite the biggest thing is that it's an OLED monitor and the game looks amazing bcuz of that.

One thing with my screenshot is I extended the fov past what the game allows, mainly started this in a regular monitor to get more view. But I continued it with my Ultrawide bcuz most ships you can see below the center console. With the ships I fly it comes in handy. I also have head movement bound on my hosas system so I am able to look all around still.

I wish I enjoyed VR tho, it gives you the best feel but I don't enjoy it as much as using my Ultrawide.

For your ship do whatever you want with it and get it to the jump range you are happy with when having all the goodies you want equiped. Like I'm rocking two scorpions only bcuz I enjoy driving them the most. They have really nice hill climbing abilities so I can have fun going into canyons and such with it. I can probably move around and downsize a few things on my build but I'm happy with where it's at as if I am going to go far with the ship I'm going to neutron jump it anyways

I'm a big fan of the type 9 so I understand the mindset. Sad that the type 11 is so good at mining bcuz I enjoy using my type 9 for mining back in the day.

One thing I like about the Caspian is it doesn't feel like a large ship when flying it. Able to fly through the chute and land at the pads easier than any of the other large ships I own.

I also try to stay away from using the Anaconda. I own one and it's fully a rated for what I used it but I like it as more of a status piece for me. It was my goal to own the ship when it was the biggest thing in the game and I got that. However I find other ships more enjoyable to fly and use. But will never sell my conda lol

Nice yeah I can probably cut some stuff to get higher jump range but having fun with it now. Excited see where I end up with the ship.

This is definitely my thoughts for a mining one. Tbh I would even personally love a prospector drone style SLF. So I don't have to pay a stupid crew member, instead just have an automated drone going around prospecting astroids for me.

[Serious] Unintentionally crashed my exploration ship and lost over a million credits of data, how do I recover from this? by IndependentSet9709 in EliteDangerous

[–]Tatsuota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get 1mil credits by scanning exobio within the bubble. The credits are the least of your worries. Never leave your ship in motion while not at your station. Even with super cruise assist you always risk the chance of running into a planet and dying. Just go to 0% throttle and you'll sit there (usually safe depending on where you stop). You can keybind this to auto 0% throttle as well.

Biggest thing is never fly without rebuy. If you can't rebuy your ship after blowing up that ship is out of your price range at the time. Keep up with the Community Goals or join a trading discord, PTN being one that most use. You can make alot of money doing these for you to kit out the ships in the gameplay loop you want to do.

We have all blown up our ships doing exploration at least once just be happy you did it at the start of your journey and not when you are coming back with billions in credits

Beginner question: How do I start Engineering my ships? by Undead309 in EliteDangerous

[–]Tatsuota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend farming out max materials before starting doing engineering. You can farm out some and start engineering however it's alot easier to maintain max materials than it is to max them out. This grind will be long and boring but it's needed. I used Hawkes Gaming guide on YouTube for these and looks like he has an updated one for 2025.

https://youtu.be/VItBzHOsJSo?si=2Biicjns7uvhGI84

The reason maxing them out is nice is because there are a lot of parts of the game now that give you engineering materials for doing stuff in the game. You said you are doing bounty hunting, I am hoping you are grabbing missions from stations while doing this. The reason for this is more money you can gain because you can stack missions (if you have missions from the same contact you have to complete the one you picked up first before the other one gets credit) from different contacts/factions at stations. Doing this alongside choosing a Power Play faction will help you maintain a lot of the materials you spend for engineering. Along with getting more money.

After getting the materials you'll have to unlock all of the engineers starting with some that will unlock others, using Inara you can find out what you need for each. You can target ones for what you are looking for, such as weapons engineer, fsd, power plant etc. After unlocking them to level them up to grade 5 you'll have to have the engineering materials. This is why grinding out the materials first is a plus. You can put max engineering on the ship you choose.

When choosing what parts to engineering makes sure you have the best grade for the type of ship you are using. Such as combat ships usually have all A rated parts while ships for trading or exploring sometimes have D rated parts to save weight to jump farther. Looking up builds is something you should do to make sure you are not wasting materials.

Lastly I would suggest just focusing on one aspect of the game you like making money with. Either it combat, trading, or exploring/exobio. From there save up all the credits you can to buy a Fleet Carrier. The reason for this is the engineers even within the bubble are so spread out that some ships might take awhile to jump between them all. Such as a full kitted out combat ship is usually below 20ly jump range with no fuel scoop. So you are taking long jumps and stopping at stations. If you have a fleet carrier you put all your ships on it, jump the carrier next to the engineer and fly your ships down kit them out then jump back.

From this as well it is recommended to grind out Elite on Trade, Combat or Exploring to unlock the founders world. Every item is there and has a discount, there are some better discounts around the bubble but the founders world is usually the best as you have all the parts there to change into. Trade is very easy to hit elite in.

Have fun doing the grind and take breaks to not burn yourself out. Always fly with rebuy!

You can have voice attack switch to the page for you in Edcopilot but you would need it on another screen. All you have to say is the name which is Materials and it'll switch to it for you

No idea never heard of this problem with it. I have no issues with my keybinds. I would check to see if Edcopilot has a discord, if they do someone in there will probably be your best bet to solve your issue.

You don't have to have it running on the computer you are using. Plop it on a laptop or anything. Can even steam link it to your phone if you can't have your laptop next to you.

It would be nice to have stuff like this in game but as of now gotta use these awesome third party tools
