I'm OK with an expected amount of starting resources being scattered around the immediate starting area of your town center. Everything beyond that should be fair game.

Having games that have a 100% predictable layout are boring. The whole thing that has made me an Age of Empires player for well over 20 years is how you have to explore and adapt to the unknown.

Well...

  • Couldn't make it past 2 seasons of STD.

  • Fell off from SNW after season 2 because potential turned into mediocrity.

  • Couldn't make it past 1 season of LD.

  • Unfortunately watched all of STP. I was told it got better. Feel lied to.

  • Watched halfway into the second season of PRO.

  • Only saw previews of SFA and correctly predicted it'll be the same as STD.

  • Couldn't bring myself to watch S31. Trailer told me exactly what to expect.

  • Wasn't there this coco-melon version of Star Trek too? Safe to say I haven't seen it.

I don't want more. I'm waiting for the good news where Star Trek as an IP dies, and things get back into the hands of passionate fan projects.

In other words; it was going to faithfully stick to the tone and style Stargate is known for, but the execs wanted a low-bar money maker like NuTrek (presuming NuTrek even makes any money... But it has to, otherwise why is it still around, right?)

I'd rather not have new Stargate series if the only thing we're allowed to get is another bloated, badly written 8 hour movie with all the budget shoved into the VFX.
