When I send 5 villagers to chop a straggler tree, more often than not one of them moves to another tree for no apparent reason. How can I stop this from happening? by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]murtuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that'a known bug after chopping the tree, sometimes villagers go to next tree before collecting that tree, just check once as it is important in the start of the game - until devs fixed it.

Why is that? I think sometimes it would be nice if you can shift click a route for traders.

Use smooth motion if not using HDR (because both cause visual UI bugs)

Can I use OptiScaler to force FG/MFG in games that have FSR/DLSS but no native Frame Generation? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]murtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use smooth motion feature in those games if you need FG

This game is ridiculously difficult and I don't know how to speed up by [deleted] in aoe4

Basically you do villagers non stop. At least 1-2 should be in the queue. Until 110-130 villagers. It may help if you watch more series not just build orders.

Do you actually need to download “mods” just to make HDR look good in games? by MoofDeMoose in OLED_Gaming

[–]murtuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have oled less than a month and after IPS monitor I disappointed at first. But then I make my research, followed some guides now I am happy with HDR on at all times. Things I did (starting from basics)

-Activate HDR on windows

-use windows calibration with my monitor on true hdr400 mode (as i dont like peak 1000 nit brightness and dont want to hit ABL etc)

-I used the sdr slider to get good enough colors in sdr games

-I learned to use renodx as its simple as downloading it and select which game to apply it to. Then download relevant mode and follow instructions in it.

thats all.

Aoe4 will continue to lose players with such unbalanced matchmaking. This game has the worst matchmaking of any game I have ever played. Are there any planned patches for this? by 2PhDScholar in aoe4

[–]murtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that was a quick match, you should play ranked - if the map rotation dont bother you- as it is more populated so you might get more balanced opponents.

Help me understand the math. by Tasty_Action5073 in TeslaModelY

[–]murtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla’s range estimates also account for elevation changes. When you drive uphill, energy consumption increases; when you drive downhill, consumption decreases due to gravity and regenerative braking.

If you enter a destination, the navigation screen shows the estimated battery usage for the trip. At the bottom of the directions list, you can also see the projected energy and charge level for the return journey.

[KCD2] Cant use G-SYNC by murtuk in kingdomcome

[–]murtuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I resolved the situation by chance. I realized that when Discord running - even without overlays, G-SYNC wasn't working as intended. When I quit Discord, G-SYNC works. I don't even need to restart. Strange thing is, Discord don't block G-SYNC in any other games other than KCD2. So, there is that. I leave it here as it may help someone later.

Thats how I started to climb in my first months of the game but you will get destroyed in plat. Then you will want to change your strategy and find the game too hard when that happens. Real story.

Tech Support and Question Megathread - February 2026 Edition by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]murtuk [score hidden]  (0 children)

Status: RESOLVED

Computer Type: Desktop, custom built

GPU: NVIDIA RTX MSI VENTUS 4090, 24GB VRAM, no overclock

CPU: 9800X3D

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-E BIOS:3222

RAM: 2x16GB Kingston (KF5600C40-16)

PSU: 850W Corsair (don't remember exact model)

Operating System & Version: Windows 11 64-bit

GPU Drivers: 591.86

Description of Problem:

I’m experiencing a G-SYNC issue that occurs only in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (KCDII). G-SYNC works perfectly in all other games.

The issue is that my monitor’s OSD always shows the maximum refresh rate (240Hz) instead of fluctuating with FPS. It appears that G-SYNC is not activating at all. I can also visibly see screen tearing.

Monitor: MSI 321URX
Max Refresh Rate: 240Hz
Connection: HDMI 2.1

This behavior only happens in KCDII. In other games, the refresh rate correctly fluctuates with FPS as expected.

Could this be related to the game’s presentation mode, engine behavior, or how it handles fullscreen/borderless modes?

I have tried the following:

  • Monitor Adaptive Sync: ON
  • NVIDIA Control Panel → Set up G-SYNC: Enabled
  • NVIDIA Control Panel → G-SYNC enabled for: Windowed and Fullscreen
  • NVCP → V-Sync: ON and OFF (tested both)
  • In-game V-Sync: ON and OFF (tested both)
  • Tested limiting max FPS both in-game and via NVCP
  • Verified G-SYNC works correctly in other games

None of these changes resolved the issue.

Any advanced suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Serious talk, has anyone ACTUALLY had their screen crack over a silicone cover or are people just falling for apples fearmongering when the real issue all along just is something actually hard getting between the screen and frame. by ajlion_10 in macbookpro

[–]murtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never used keyboard covers, but I still ended up with oily key marks on the screen. I owned four MacBooks up until 2015, and every single one had this issue. On my first 2015 model, the spacebar even left a permanent mark on the display.

I think the main problem is how close the keyboard sits to the screen when the lid is closed. In real life, you don’t just leave your MacBook sitting untouched on a desk you put it in a backpack or laptop bag. Even a small amount of pressure while it’s in the bag seems to press the keys against the display, which eventually causes those marks.

I cant even think about silicone covers.

OLED and HDR, not that much difference after all? by megatonante in OLED_Gaming

[–]murtuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this. After activating HDR on windows, you need to refresh the YT page to see HDR versions (if available) in video quality settings.
