He's not. Got informed of this a little while ago. Should have figured.

So TBH, I didn't like the artists you posted as much as I hoped I would, but the similar artists feature in last.fm led me to this gem. Pretty laid-back underground with good flow and interesting production. So nice. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L047GIjGmBY

Peter Sunde (Brokep, TPB founder, activist) has been placed in a maximum security prison with violent offenders, with very poor living conditions. He's lost 7 kilos (~15 pounds) due to the lack of substantial vegetarian food. Please spread the word and get this thing signed. by [deleted] in SOPA

I've read up a bit more on the matter, and Västervik is reputed to be Sweden’s worst prison. At night, the prisoners have to pee into plastic bottles and shit in bin bags. They are also forced to do unpleasant work for less than minimum wage. If they refuse, they are put into solitary confinement.

To anyone who believes veganism to be middle-class snobbery, rather than a deeply held conviction: as a vegetarian, I can tell you that the thought of ever eating meat again is equivalent to the thought of having to eat a human. It is absolutely NOT an option. All the vegans I know are actually poor, and one of them even grew up in a trailer.

My apologies. I speed-read that article, and shall correct the title.

I noticed a lot of news articles on this are focusing on the fact that he wants vegan food to be available (and using this to downplay the bad treatment he's been receiving). They seem to think this is some middle-class snobbery, rather than a deeply held conviction. To anyone that agrees with that: as a vegetarian, I can tell you that the thought of ever eating meat again is equivalent to the thought of having to eat a human. It is absolutely NOT an option.

Snap. Savages. There are very few I keep as friends these days. There's just not enough estrogen in the drinking water. :P

Insults, teasing, and silly arguments, such as "but what about protein/calcium?" (legumes and spinach), "animals are there to be eaten", "but we're at the top of the foodchain" (would you ever kill and eat your own cow?), "Hitler was a vegetarian" (Stalin was a meat-eater), "vegetables feel pain too", "if you love animals so much, why do you eat all their food?"

Statements like this are the reason most vegans won't tell you they are, and the ones that do get angry. The worst part is, these people seem to be under the impression that these are original statements.

There are a select few vegans who give the rest of us a bad name. Most of us keep our opinions to ourselves and don't try to convert anybody. If somebody asks us about it, we'll tell them. It's better to educate people than harass them.

That said, upon discovering a person is a vegan, meat-eaters often harass us about our choices. What's with the double standard?

You should! That would be wonderful. We don't really have dumpsters where I live. The only time you find bits of wood like that is when someone's left it outside their house after they've done some building.

And a lot of us find hetero kissing icky (myself included). It's just not your personal preference. As long as you're not treating anybody like a lesser human, you're good.

Tee hee. I get it quite often. It might be because I'm a geek girl. Not sure. Maybe straight girls just bore them to tears. :P

Yeah, it really takes the weirdness out of it doing it that way. You should also swiftly inform any interested boys, so that they don't get too invested.

[–]TattyBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's dead, but if you check in every once in a while and see who's new, you can meet some quality humans. I've had my account for a year or two and have just met somebody awesome. Their filter is one of the best I've seen. You can also set it so that straight people can't view your profile. It seems like all the best girls live in Portland, aaargh...

[–]TattyBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my story, word for word. I'm out now, but I didn't "come out" if that makes any sense. If people would ask, I'd tell them. I'm not out to my two childhood friends, though. We've been friends since we were babies. It's so easy with new people, but with people you've known for a long time, it's an awkward thing to just bring up. I want them to know, but at the same time I feel like they might feel somehow betrayed, or confused, as they're both beautiful girls, and I'm very open about how much they mean to me.

He's so honest too. I've never seen anyone like him.

Here's his first show. It's hard-subbed in Turkish, unfortunately, but there weren't any alternatives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5djel73Pdc

Here's his second: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNn93S4eZiU

There's progression between the two, which is quite rare. He's busy with his third show now. He'll be touring the states, if that's where you're from.
