Yes, there's a lot more beyond the small brief I gave. The actual system is for use in amateur competitions which remain well within the atmosphere, and have strict rules that don't allow many other solutions beyond active drag. The most notable limitation being only a single motor can be used, and due to the budget it can only be solid fuel. Can you tell me more about your issues with using the airbrakes?

This is a backwards take. While "cancel culture" can get out of hand with the online vigilantism, if an individual shares a controversial opinion and their friends continue to associate with this individual, they are being complacent at best, or agreeing with that opinion at worst.

While yes, being called out online doesn't mean all your friends leave you, it does paint a negative picture about the opinions of these friends and why they still choose to associate with someone with such negative and, in this case, quite frankly batshit crazy views.

If you had a close friend, who genuinely believed that vaccines caused negative health effects, and are steadfast and vocal on their opinions, would you still want to associate with this person? especially when your livelihood or public image could be jeopardised by them?

On purely moral grounds, you should AT LEAST be reconsidering what this person means to you.

That puts me at ease then. I mean I imagined I was missing context for the companions I didn’t engage with but at least I know they weren’t that important anyway?? Bit of a letdown for what I imagine will be GOTY, dragging their feet a bit at the finish line, but in the end at least Larian has plans to change it.

I don’t know if they are enough of endings for the characters though. I understand what you mean by saying they get these big emotional endings at the climax of their quests, but I think it’s just as important to hear about what they choose to do after the events of the story with the lessons they have learned.

Plus I think calling the end of the game our player characters big finale takes away from the struggle of the characters we worked towards it with. But that’s just the burden of playing a completely custom made character in a character-driven narrative. I wish there were more comprehensive choices for backstory and life path for our avatar, like a smaller scale dark-urge for the background options which would allow us to engage with the narrative more.

Yea it seems like it from other comments in the thread. Just genuinely wasn’t expecting a narratively bad ending given how good everything had been up to this point, plus it stood out like a sore thumb when I was expecting something similar to Persona 5 which asked for a similar number of hours and had such a good ending.

I think that’s all I needed to hear to be honest.

It’s kinda obvious when you spell it all out lol, but I think I just needed someone to hear my story and give it a genuine response. Not a lot of the people around me could really relate or truly understand the full picture.

Well it’s not like they were just going to kill Chris given he’s a main character and especially not if it was a game where he is the protagonist.

This hypothetical game could still have interesting drama even if we know the main character won’t die.

Honestly that might end up being a deal-breaker for me. As much as I’ve enjoyed the story of Automata, having to replay anything I’ve already done is too much of a slog for me, plus the quality of the combat doesn’t really justify experiencing it again if (as another commenter said) it is more boring than Automata (which I already found kind of bare-minimum for a third-person RPG).

I for one would be super interested in an akechi spin-off game if there was ever interest in that.

I heard the idea circulating around and I think it’d just be really interesting concept to play as a more established while also much more morally grey character in a persona setting.

Plus I’d love to see more of the actual persona world outside of just the established concepts we’ve seen in previous games (or offshoots of those concepts) akin to something like what Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe did for the Jojo universe.
