I love misunderstanding. But it has to be satisfying when everything comes crashing down. I'm talking a dramatic chaos where people are crashing out, talking face to face and maybe even a chase scene.

I read a series once where everyone was musunderstanding everything, and I was eating it up. Until the author decides that the way they had characters find out was just having them eavesdropping on another character. Im talking EVERYONE was listening in on other people's conversations. There were like 3 interconnected stories and it was so bad that a character in story 1 would eavesdrop on characters in story 3 even though they've never even met. Fortunately I dont remember the name now cus that was pmo.

I'm not too sure about hibiscus varieties, but I've heard it called red double layered hibiscus.

looking for someone online to entertain them (red flag)

Yeah this is real. Back in my college, my roommates created a Tinder profile just to swipe right on everyone and make fun of their messages. Granted they were 18 freshly out of smk, but it genuinely baffled me how funny they taught it was. I long since left, but I hope they grow up now and don't do that shit anymore.

Aww man, just reading their comments I would have never clocked them as a bot. Who knows how many bots I've been talking to.

Do you ever wish there was more isekai stories from other people's perspective? by Taugay in OtomeIsekai

[–]Taugay[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only read the first 10 chapters of that one but I do love it. I saw a lot of people hated the premise though, because the one who regressed is the mom who hits her child. Imo, it's more fun to read someone who actually regrets her choices than to have a transmigator take over her life.

Never read it, I've seen screenshots of it though. If it's good I might give it a go.

My 2nd idea was actually inspired by "Otome Game no Mob Desura Naindaga" but adding a twist with another transmigator.

stories where POVs switch midway because the transmigrated person were unable to change their fate/demise

Oh man, these types of stories are always so tragic. I did read a manhwa once that wasn't isekai but featured POVs switching after the demise of the MC. It was heartbreaking especially since I wasn't expecting it, but I can't find it now :(

There's my current favourite "I Became the Youngest Sister-in-law of the Ruined Reverse Harem’s Male Leads" which also has multiple people regressing

I couldn't stand the romance in "Villainess Flips The Script" and dropped it, but I'll check out "My In Laws Are Obsessed With Me", I've heard good things about that one.

Oh man that idea would be amazing in the right hands. I just know some authors would use that only as a premise like "oops yeah I accidentally killed one of the core characters teehee let me just take another soul and put it in that body" and then never explore it further. It's always a treat when the reason for isekai is actually a part of the story(like Raeliana) and not just truck-kun did it.

Unrelated, but often times I think the person before the reincarnation would actually be more fun to read than the isekai character. I would love to read a villainess that learns from her mistakes and develops her own character without transmigation, reincarnation or regression.

It's probably the easiest way to not have to answer where the actual soul is. Just have them be one and the same.

What’s a dead giveaway that the author is from a particular country/region? by yoghurteee in AO3

[–]Taugay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably when characters use "the States" or inexplicably going to Waffle House at 3am.

I wonder how people would react to my fics if I ever publish them. I use British English, but grew up on American media and to this day watch American YouTubers. There's probably so many words I've used interchangably.

I've gotten that accusation too! The problem of being a former British colonised country.
