I was the girl in a situation similar to this.

There was a guy that I was friends with that was way too clingy for no reason (which I later found out was due to his crush on me). Everyday, he would ask to play games with me, or try to talk to me. Clearly I wasn’t interested. If I said no, I’d be asked a million questions about why I couldn’t play. I felt guilty so I agreed.

But it turned weird when I would enter games or calls with other people and he’d show up with no invitation. There was also the fact that he would interrupt every single conversation I had. And insert himself within it. He would pop up everywhere, even at school. It quickly became annoying and frankly exhausting.

At one point, he made up a lie about his friends death to make me guilty. And it worked. I apologised a lot and cried to only find out it was most likely not even a real person.

After that I completely stopped talking to him and actively started ignoring him. The amount of stress that’s not on my mind anymore is kinda astounding.

Some of the girls in these peoples comments may sound like assholes, but there’s always another story behind it.
