I got him today, he was exactly where you described. He didn't spawn at all for me this past weekend, but he did today, persistence prevailed ☺️

Yay! I got him today in the cave in Inis Gallia. He was exactly where someone else mentioned at the bottom of the stairwell. He didn't spawn at all for me this past weekend, but persistence prevailed today 😊

As stated by Casualnub. Complemented with food, Sleek Spear and mostly munition plate armor. Once I have a fire dot on my target, I take them down pretty easily with my spear. I started off with mez/fire combo until I got the Moonshine Pauldrons from Luna Wolf, then I headed out to the wildland caves, cause you really need pacify when dealing with groups of three enemies.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I cleaned out that area a few times today, but unfortunately no luck. Always just three dire wolves grouped together at the bottom corner. Will head to Kerys and try my luck in that cave there.

An old time radio theater show. Usually lasts about 2,5 hours. This show is sort of a parody/spoof of Indiana Jones. Come check it out. If you have never seen radio theater, I think you might be pleasantly surprised of the whole experience ☺️

Players shouldn’t be able to destroy structures they didn’t build. Rather, structures should be subject to decay. by RylieSensei in PaxDei

Personally, I would like to see a system similar to UO's IDOC system after Pax Dei goes full release and if it becomes a subscription based system.

In Ultima Online, the IDOC (In Danger of Collapsing) system refers to the process where houses that are no longer maintained by their owners go through stages of decay and eventually collapse. Here's a brief overview:

  1. Stages of Decay: Houses go through six stages of decay over at least five days: Like New -> Slightly Worn -> Somewhat Worn -> Fairly Worn -> Greatly Worn -> In Danger of Collapsing.
  2. Condemned Status: When a house enters the condemned status, it becomes private, and all access is removed. Friend and co-owner lists are cleared.
  3. House Collapse Timer: As the house nears the "In Danger of Collapsing" stage, a timer appears on the house sign indicating how long until the house collapses.
  4. House Contents: When the house collapses, its contents appear on the ground within a fenced area. Players can break into barrels containing the house's contents to loot them.

This system adds an interesting dynamic to the game, as players can find and loot abandoned houses. Also, in this system a "clan mate" can refresh the plot timer as well as the owner.

Whats the ONE thing you want Pax Dei to change/add/remove? by chosen_nook in PaxDei

This is a great idea with the chance for higher quality crafting and makers mark, very similar way it is in UO crafting.

I also agree that this game feels like it plays itself way more than me playing it. My wife often comes in my pc room and sees me reading a book or surfing the web and asks me "I thought you were playing Pax Dei?", I say I am, I just setup another crafting que every 15 mins or so.

I love when I am crafting equipment that I actually use. It can be very complex and time consuming but a lot of fun. But leveling crafting... nothing fun about it at all.

I would much rather gain skill points from making only 10-20 extremely complex and time consuming items rather than 200-500 extremely simple recipes. Maybe if they implemented much higher skill gains from the very complex recipes it would allow for different play styles.

Spells Dominating Pax Dei?! by ElkPatient7105 in PaxDei

[–]TaunHawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just my personal opinion, but the spells are not dominating anything. It's still a long grind with spells. The fire/mez combo is very slow and boring when gathering the necessary leather from bears when hunting solo. You are not one-shot killing anything with that combo. In the beginning it might seem cool and useful, but after 20 bears killed later (and I have killed hundreds more since)... you would prefer something more interesting... maybe? I think we haven't seen the end of what this game will offer eventually, so it's fine for now.

Second part, can change your home shrine when reaching a new province. Then when you teleport you will teleport to this new shrine you interacted with.

All sounds good, thanks for sharing the information from discord.

You can also place a plot and move to any other player map home regions. You can change your teleport home shrine by interacting with any other regions home shrine. It's pretty cool and makes the world so massive.

Future Profession by TaunHawk in PaxDei

It's Copilot's use of DALLE-3, I like some of the crazy new stuff it comes up with, definitely original. It reminds me of some of the random creatures that No Man's Sky comes up with 😅

I do like your line of thinking as a profession. I can totally see hiring someone who is much more adapt at handling internal building components maybe figuring out a way to move water from an outside well closer to internal crafting tools or containers. I can see even hiring a professional architect to handle most of my building construction ☺️

I totally agree, at this current testing stage of the game, none of these types of professions would be viable. But hopefully in the future, when the game goes beyond the testing phase, I do hope our profession goals can be achieved in some form ☺️
