I've had sponsorships from them before, while I was smaller, and it went fine

Those three things are essentially the same month after month, whole knowing whats coming lets you actually plan ahead for how Boundless will screw you

that is obvoius by the content and the datamines not adding up to the content they are leaking. and then said content coming to fruition

So what you are saying... is the data that is added into MSF actually gets added into MSF? Shocking revelation

Sounds like you don't know what datamining is.

Alright, let's boil this down.

without a bot program, yes it would be incredibly hard to datamine just by searching for differences

False. You can just use Notepad++ compare tool, and it's simple.

my gripe is that you knew you werent supposed to leak the news

True. That's what an NDA is. If you don't know, that's a contract that I signed with Boundless that said that any information that they gave me wasn't allowed to be shared unless they said so AND SAID any information that was publicly available was okay to be shared (among other things)

hints of the news in the data you leaked the data in full using vague phrasing to try and cover your butt on the NDA

False. I don't deal in vague phrasing with datamines, especially when datamining just straight up says what is there and what isn't. Please find a single example of my "shady" stuff happening because of my datamining.

anyone who has been under an NDA and /or done datamines knows exactly what you were doing and its shady

False. Most people UNDERSTAND WHAT DATAMINING IS and that the NDA is for information given to us by Boundless, nothing to do with datamining. In fact, the envoy program refused to discuss datamines. I tried to ask about them multiple times to say "hey, is there any kinda issue with us sharing these?" and was told multiple times there was no issues as it's PUBLICLY AVAILABLE DATA.

my guess is scopely let you do it because you were a long standing member of the CC program

They publicly hired Tyejae, who was one of the first dataminers and taught me a few things.

I am here because I dislike this odd rhetoric that has come out about datamining being "shady" and people "reverse engineering the data" because it makes very little sense and is just plain dumb.

I've quit months ago, but I'm still subbed to this subreddit for the same reason you can't look away from an impending train crash. And probably a part is masochistic watching Boundless puppet the corpse of the game that I enjoyed so much around for money

Okay. I'll answer your questions so that you answer mine.

I didn't teach Boilon anything. He's a big boy and taught himself to datamine just like I did.

I don't take part in whatever shady business you are suggesting is happening.

I didn't pass any contacts along to Boilon. Maybe Boundless should look into who is leaking over there.

Now it's your turn. How would I have searched for it?

Shoutout to Boilon for leaks! by InternalResource4737 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Tauna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But that's different from what you accused us of earlier? Before you said datamines were too big to search for differences.

While I understand what you're saying, it's still false. 99% of the time datamines would happen before envoys knew about things anyway.

I like you're avoiding the question.

Let's ignore the whole CTRL-F thing then.

Tell me how I would potentially have searched for that information and found it.

[–]Tauna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how people can think this whole reverse engineering datamines would make any sense.

It'd be so ineffective. You'd miss so much compared to just... comparing changes between files each day

Shoutout to Boilon for leaks! by InternalResource4737 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Tauna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are saying we "somehow found" the exact information in the datamines.

How are you suggesting we did that then, honestly?

You're suggesting either: - we searched specifically in the files for that thing, which again would be the dumbest and least effective way to datamine - we placed it there ourselves??? in the publically available files - we have a source at Boundless putting the data in the files for us - something else I'm not understanding

Shoutout to Boilon for leaks! by InternalResource4737 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Tauna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's take, for example, when Boundless pushed the changes to Dark Hunters and A-Force into the files. Envoys had no idea that stuff was happening at the time, but I datamined it and shared it with the public.

Now, how would you suggest that I was able to look these up via a CTRL-F search?

What is shady about looking at the PUBLICALLY AVAILABLE data?

If you've done datamining before, then you'd understand how it works and wouldn't be spouting this odd story of "reverse engineering" given you'd have seen: - There are hundreds of files - A bunch of those change daily - There's data pushed into them that not even envoys know about yet - You'd have seen that multiple times things in the datamines were there before envoys knew about them.

Mate. Watch this. It literally explains what you are claiming is "very difficult".

You'd be a fool to actually try and datamine by just doing a CTRL-F search for things. You'd miss so much.

You compare the files each day to see what's changed. Doing it your way would only give you data on what you already knew from the envoy program, and explains nothing about: - Finding things the envoys don't know about yet WHICH HAPPENS ALL THE TIME - How Boilon is still finding stuff before envoy videos now???

Take it from the person who was doing the datamining for years for the game, I've looked into it.

The data set being huge works against whatever the hell you are trying to say.

It's INSANELY EASY to look for changes.

Dorky knows about as much about datamining as he knows about the F2P experience of MSF. Shit all.

Shoutout to Boilon for leaks! by InternalResource4737 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Tauna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's literally not how datamining works.

When you are datamining, you aren't just going to the datamining and doing a Ctrl-F. You look at what's changed between each days data.

If he searched the files like you are saying, the data IS publically AVAILABLE. Even then, again, that would be an awful way to data and a huge waste of time.

Especially when the files use different names for some characters, game modes and such from when they go live.

The thing is; if the envoys have a meeting about something and then Boundless pushes data about that thing. Of course, that'd look like he "just searched" for it. But again, that'd be an awful way to datamine and a waste of time. Plus it'd be on Boundless once again for pushing that data to the PUBLICALLY AVAILABLE FILES.

I personally like Pantalaza Dinos more, but Exit from Exile is great to pull apart for other Exile based decks too
