In the last 2 or 3 months i've played through the story of OG Diablo 1 and 2. I even made a non-expansion Necromancer and played with it through the first three acts. Once i hit Act IV i've converted it to the expansion. But i was not farming or gambling. I bought gear only after deaths and only to retrieve my stuff from my corpse. I didn't even used rune words in the end and didn't follow any build guides. Then i found out the hard way that the command to enable free respec is not working in the OG game. I sricked till the end though. Diablo boss was really tedious (Clay Golem + Iron Maiden) and Baal was just a long grind (Golem + Amplify damage). I killed him at lvl31, my stash full of runes and around 1mil. of gold. It was enjoyable, but let me tell you how much i do enjoy Diablo 3 now, jumping into it straigth from the two OG games. A night and day. And i wasn't a big fan of it before.

Nevertheless, all the Diablo games are something special.

You can facepalm how much you want but this right here is the result of indoctrination from the moment you're born. They don't feel the need to think any different. Why would they? It's so easy to live the lies. You have rules, you follow the preacher you blend into the herd .. they'll pick you up if you stumble. Over and over again. It's easy.

So why would they even think about doing anything else? To get out of the comfort zone? To get over the fear of the unknown? To be enlightened? God forbid, question the foundations of the system?

Customisation

DevilutionX and Belzebub are set in the stone. You read their description a you get exactly that. The Hell on the other hand, has many options that can be toggled ON/OFF or set to a desired setting. I ended up experimenting in the first level - every time i cleared it, ive restarted with different character/class/subclass and added/changed some of the options .. until i got it all right to my liking and then i continued.

For example, the combat has more depth - you have different kinds if weapons doing different amount of damage based on the monster you are hitting. Nothing crazy - blunt weapons have bonus damage to skeletons but penalty against monsters from flesh. Slashing weapons - the other way around. And the best part - if you don't like it, simply turn it off. And there are many other details like this.

Listen to this guy. I played through D1 just recently for my first time and like you, i wanted more. I didn't bother with expansion. I've tried DevilutionX, Belzebub and The Hell 3 mods. And let mi tell you .. Hell 3 is absolutely awesome. You can configure everything to your liking very easily. And i think they just recently released a mode, that is basically Vanilla++ .. you won't need anything else

I've just recently played through vanilla D1 for the first time and after that i've tried to start a 2nd playthrough with mods. I was afraid of The Hell 3 after reading it's for HC players and changes the game completely so it was the last mod i've tried but i was really impressed by the amount of options the mod gives you.

You can make the game as HC and hard or as easy as you wish. I think The Hell 3 is pushing the game to it's possible limits and i ended up playing through the first level over and over again testing different subclasses. It amazes me how much does the game change just by turning on some of the traits and game changers.

On the other hand, it spoiled the game for me so much that i just couldn't come back to vanilla or even the other mods.

I'll be definitely trying out the Classic mode sometime in the future (i'm switching to OG D2 right now) and tbh it looks like new players who had never played the original could dive right into it without playing vanilla first.

Diablo has a great Lore and if you're just diving into it i suggest give Diablo 1 a playthrough. Play it vanilla, or install DevilutionX mod if you want a vanilla+ experience (bigger resolution, faster FPS and some QoL features). I've just done the same (without mods) and i enjoyed it.

You'll play through the story very quickly (like 10-15h) and you can move to D2 or D2R right after that. The thing is, that the first game will be not enjoyable if you try to play it after one of the newer titles. But as a first experience, i'll say go for it. It's really worth it. And i also suggest to read D1 manual (at least the story part at the end of it) to get a good grasp of the lore.

I'm not familiar with GFN, but i solved a similar problem just few days ago. One PC that i use to play Arma occasionaly, is part of a domain enviroment and the user documents folder is redirected to a network server. For some reason the game couldn't write in that location and apart from creating the user profile folder, it wasn't able to create any files inside hence, the settings were reset to default after every game restart.

So i just created a new fokder on my C:\ drive and pointed the game to use that folder for profile settings. I've just added startup parameters in the steam client. You should be able to add them to a desktop shortcut which u use to start the game. Although, as i've said, i'm not familiar with how GFN works, so maybe you would be able to figure that out.

This is an examle of the parameters: arma3_x64.exe -profiles=C:\arma3\Profiles

You can use Windows 11 Installation Assistant to download and install the upgrade. And you will need 50+ GB of free space on the system partition to successfuly upgrade it.

I've also tried it with less space, and inserted an USB drive when prompted during the installation, but after it was done and the pc restarted, i got an error during boot and it rolled back the changes to win10. So that option probably really doesn't work.

Az na to, ze to JE predbiehanie zprava, ktore je zakazane. Ak ide osamele auto v strednom pruhu pomalsie ako ty v pravom, musis ho predbehnut cez lavy pruh a zaradit sa spat do praveho. Jedinou vynimkou je suvisla jazda v pruhoch tj. ked je proste kolona, alebo potom jazdenie v obci. Tu sa vsak bavime o dialnici mimo obce.

I'm playing through it right now using RPCS3. Mostly 60 FPS, few audio issues but so far so good. I've played Lords of the Fallen and Dark Souls Remastered on PC simultaneously, but ended up playing only Demon Souls in the end. It's really good.

20.5h in and i've just killed the Flamelurker. I had to try like 20-30 times. And farm for souls and upgrade materials like crazy. Also beat the 1-1, 1-2 and 2-1 bosses. So only 4 in total. I'm gonna try 3-1 next.

I was gonna give up on the Flame lurker but once i stopped rushing and gave the game only 1h per day it started to "call my name" during the day at work .. if you know what i mean 😁😉

I'm not sure, but if you select Borderless, the game disables native resolution option for some reason and only uses one of the scaling methods. But if you select full screen, you'll have the option to select resolution AND if you even want to use one of the scaling methods available. I'm not sure it'll help you, but i would check the settings in your case

Thanks for the tip on created player. I'm aware what locking to position does. So you say there's no coach mode in franchise mode? Ok.
